Hello friends ... I hope you both had a good day ... I did! ... DD stopped over this afternoon but I didn't get a chance to see DS/DIL and kids ... DIL wanted to hang out at home and then they went out for dinner ... that's ok, like you say walker, it's her day too!! I did get a nice Mother's Day call from them!!

I will be on a little later than normal tomorrow ... DD is going out of town on a business trip and we're taking her to the airport in the morning.

Have a good rest of your night ... see you tomorrow.

Hi there......day flew by but it was beautiful here...wow, wish it could last for next few months....about 70 degrees..my comfort range. Ha!

Glad you got to see your DD today, Tootie, but maybe disappointing not to see the others. It gets complicated, I think.  Their day...our day...🤷‍♀️.  Just a day, eh?  I guess as long as we are remembered.  I have talked to others our age experiencing the same.  

I did enjoy my day starting with a nice Mass.  After we got home DS and one of the 3A's plus Buddy 🐕‍🦺 came to visit.

Spent some time on deck reading and later DH grilled a steak.  I'm beginning to realize I don't care for beef as much anymore. 😳...how could that be!?  DD and DS (FL) called also.  End of day...but nice.

See you in the morning.  Rest well everyone...especially after the mimosas...😅...😴.

Yes family dynamics.  

I eat very little beef.  Too much chicken!  I could almost be vegetarian. But info like my bread!  

I am up late doing laundry.  

I went to our services here this morning. A nice message. Then back to jump on zoom and join brothers church. 

We are jumping into summer. Predicting triple digits. I am not ready for that. Thankfully my AC is fixed and after brother got involved inknow I will get good service. All the years I have known him I have seen only his anger a few times. 

Glad you ladies enjoyed your day.  Tootie:  hope your DD has a good trip and going somewhere nice!

Good morning friends ... well it didn't take as long as I thought it would to get DD to the airport and back ... no traffic at that hour!

kittyfan, yikes!! triple digits already??! 🥵 ... you'll enjoy your A/C today ... we have chicken a lot too! when I can't think of something for dinner that is usually my "go to" ... something chicken 😄 ... DD is going to Indiana ... the weather there is supposed to be rainy, good thing she has business to attend to.

walker, glad you got to see some of your crew too! ... and it sounds like you enjoyed some nice time on your deck! ... DD has a layover at O'Hare ... I told her to wave to you! 😉😄

We're supposed to have an 80 degree day ... 42 now so I imagine the temp will climb quickly! ...

Good afternoon

Finally hot water after being without since Friday.  

I talked with brother after noon.  He was just getting up.  Sounded better but not normal.  He said his DW was starting to feel ill.  He said the dog has been close to him.  She is very attached to his DW  but animals have such sense when things are amiss. 

Oh nice to get to airport easy. I know when I had my very early appointment I was amazed at the lack of traffic. More traffic when we had to double back 

I watched the weather. Record setting temps. Too early.

Good morning friends ... kittyfan, oh no! you had no hot water?! that's a long time to be without ... sorry to hear that DB is still not feeling well and now DW is getting sick ... it sounds like they may have some kind of bug ... or ... if DW is like DB they may just be run down!! they may need to lay low and recharge those batteries 🐇 ... I hope your triple digits isn't a sign of a hotter season ...

walker, laughing at DH wanting to talk while you were "talking"to us 😄 ... DD didn't get a chance to see much of O'Hare, she said her connection was to "run to the gate" 😂

DS/DIL and the kids stopped over yesterday ... the kids were so excited to tell us about their trip!! ... BG loved Epcott and Star Wars (he got to meet a lot of the characters) ... he also loved The Tower of Terror (I saw a video of him on it and he was having a grand time!) and LS was excited to meet some of the Princesses and have breakfast with them!

BG was also very excited to tell us he went for his Kindergarten Orientation (what? he's going to kindergarten?? 🥲) ... but he's just as excited because he can buy his lunch next year 😄 ... I asked him what he would buy and he said "a fruit salad" 😂😂... he does love his fruits and veggies!

We had a hot 80 degree day yesterday ... today "down" to 72 but we have a chance of rain ...

Yikes!! I've gone on and on this morning ... Have a good day ... pouring and passing.

Happy Tuesday!  It's a good weather 😎 week here...👍.  We do need some rain though.  

kittyfan, that was a long time without hot water.  First, the A/C problem....then hot water....hope that is all.  Stay well now.

I enjoyed the Disney report, Tootie.  Sounds like they visited the outside parks this time. BG loved the Tower of terror...good for him.  I have never been on that one.  Breakfast with the Princesses is popular and fun for the girls.  I know LS was thrilled...eyes big..ha.  Disney is sooooo expensive, they'll have to start saving money for the next trip.  Or, maybe they have covered it all now.  So much to see and do there.  

Also enjoyed BG's report on kindergarten orientation...how can that be already?  Big school now...buying lunch and all....love the fruit salad choice.  They grow up so fast.

Oh dear, DH talking again....I need to find him a job..😂.

He is talking about day ahead.....we have to go buy a new washer!  OURS IS ONLY 2 YEARS OLD...and a piece of JUNK!  Whirlpool...never again! We have had issues with it.  Of course, warranty only for a year.  Yesterday it started turning on BY ITSELF! It happened 3 times.  It did not fill because I did not let it.  Fortunately, I was able to get my laundry done.  We just unplugged it.  Maddening!  Then I read some reviews with people who experienced the same problem...bought in 2023 and Circuit Board failed in 2025.  Maybe just a fluke with that model ...lemon year..🤷‍♀️.  I am not spending money on repairs!  Going out to buy a Speed Queen today...more expensive but reliable!

QUICKEST shopping trip ever.  Went to appliance store, knew what we wanted, Store Manager took care of us....easy sale for him.  Expensive 💰💰💰but should be worth it.  I like the basic controls instead of the cockpit controls most have...just give me..on, off, hot, cold, etc.  This also does not have a locking lid which I like.  Delivery Thursday.  Manager understood our Whirlpool problem and said he has had two returned.  Ha!  You never know but Speed Queen seems like a good choice...made in Wisconsin too.  DH is kicking himself for not getting the Speed Queen two years ago.  But, we went with Whirlpool for less cost and Whirlpool "used to be a good" Made in the USA company.

Good morning friends ... wow walker! that was a fast buying ... glad they had what you wanted and fast delivery too!! ... I'm with you, give me the basics, nothing fancy ... I've never had a locking lid washer ... mine is an Amana (which is owned by Whirlpool) ... we've had it about 6 years and (🤞🏼I don't want to jinx it, but we've never had an issue) ...

Today is bittersweet for me (BG/LS are growing up too fast) ... it is the last day that we will watch LS one day a week ... DIL is taking on a 3 day shift working 13 hours a day 😯 varying days every week ... she's wanted to do this forever (along with the other nurses) and is very excited!! I think she's crazy ... but 🤷‍♀️... we will definitely miss having her ... but knew at some point this would end (she'll be going to PreK in the Fall) ... we've been watching both of them about 3 years ago and have made some great memories!! ... my gosh! I'm making it sound like they are moving far away ... they're 10 minutes away Mimi!!

Shout out to kittyfan, hope everything is ok ... lost power? or computer issues? ... hopefully not sick!
