We'll have another steamy 81 degree day with thunderstorms later this afternoon ... we had lots of rain with thunder and lightning later last night ... it's kids day tomorrow so off to the grocery store this morning ...

Hello friends....

Checking in after busy day....we drove to the Soo Locks (not far) to watch freighters go through locks....always interesting as they move from lower lake to higher lake levels.  Canada is a stone's throw away.  Boys really enjoyed it.  We also toured an old freighter now turned to museum....also interesting.  We have been before but DIL and 3A's had not been in Michigan.  It was a light rain day but doable.  Tomorrow weather is to be much better so we are going to Mackinac Island.  There we will rent bikes to ride around the island.  🙄😬🚲 I think DH and I will get a tandem bike.....oh boy....Lucy and Desi on tandem....😆🤞.

cookie, in today's world you would make big bucks for your expertise in paperwork!  Keeps you busy so that is a good thing.  kittyfan, hope you had a better day with things working out.  Tootie, have a good day with kids tomorrow.

Hello friends ... I never made it on during nap time ... they are trying to get LG used to not napping, since he won't get one in PreK ... we were able to play outside this morning but after lunch it was too hot so we played games and playdough.

Thanks for Welcome Back greeting, cookie.  I will enjoy the celebration soon....not home yet....tomorrow.  But, first today's adventure....OMG...almost end of 50 years marriage.  Lucy and Desi did not do well...but survived the bike ride.  We rented tandem bikes for ourselves, DS&DIL...3A's had bikes alone.  Well, Lucy and Desi looked like they had a few mimosas before departure.  Started out and it was hard to balance.  I know people looked at us like ...they are going to kill themselves. I thought so too. Then what Desi did not realize was he controlled the pedals.  If he started mine went.  But, he yelled at Lucy...don't pedal ...of course Lucy tried to explain..🙄.  I was sure we would crash and I would break something.  Finally, we got a rhythm going and I was afraid to stop.  3A's kept circling around checking on us.  It was pretty funny.  We made one stop with everyone and then finished...8 miles!!! Lucy and Desi finished in 1 hour and 20 minutes.  ALIVE...NO BROKEN BONES!  NEVER AGAIN!!  

Need to say good night....Desi is already telling me what time departure is tomorrow.  Back when I land at home.  Oooops....lights out by Desi.....😴.

walker, you had some adventures!  I cannot imagine riding on a tandem - especially now that I have balance issues.  Glad you had the Three A's watching out for you and no broken bones.  Lucy and Desi at it again😂

DVS day today - we are cooling down and will be 82 with occasional rain showers - guess I'm on the documenting and compiling list today.  Had a very nice call from ex yesterday which made my day easier today💓

walker, 😂😂 I laughed right out loud at your story about your bike ride!! ... I've never been on a tandem bike but it sounds like there would be a learning curve to it ... glad you're still married 😁 and no broken bones!! Lucy and Desi do it again!! ... how was the weather for that ride?? ... safe travels home.

Hello friends.....I am back!  Pour the mimosas! 🤣 Good trip but tired!  Little did we know what riding a tandem bike was like.  Did I tell you we went out to lunch after and I had two drinks? 😂😂 Mama Mia!  Did not really enjoy the ride because I just wanted to survive!  Oh well, live and learn.  Fun and boys kept circling around us to see if we were ok. 
Weather was great, Tootie, cool and cloudy for ride.  I would not have survived if sunny and hot.
Busy week but good week with special friends and family.

kittyfan, sorry things are not going smoothly yet with issues.  This too shall pass? 

cookie, you seem to have such a nice relationship with your ex ..... maybe he will come for a visit? But, maybe distance makes it better.  I don't mean to be personal so you can ignore my question.  😁

Tootie, had to laugh....after we got home DH spotted Mr. Squirrel on deck.  He said..."there's that darn squirrel again...I guess he does not know we are home"...🤣.  Get out the squirrel (squirt) gun..LOL!
