but glad you got a good nights sleep ... I haven't seen the remake of that movie ... I used to watch the original Parent Trap with DD when she was younger ...

Tootie, glad your spirits are picking up!  I laughed too at you thinking I hit the bars without my SCC friends! 😆

No bar scene....haha.  Maybe I was super relaxed after watching Pat Sajak sign off with such a nice message on Wheel of Fortune last night...😢....great guy...he'll be missed.  Then Parent Trap....(game show and old movie far cry from night at bar...haha).  I don't think I have seen the original Parent Trap in years but they run the remake quite often it seems.  I really like it...fun movie...happy ending!

No other news....rain suppose to move in soon....I should walk....keyword..."should"...😉.

Brother texted me that he had a phone reminder that today was their 45th anniversary!  They are still a loving couple!  

Yesterday I had just talked to brother. Heard a light tap on my door. Then it opened a crack. A sweet lady said I had an Amazon. She said she hadn't seen me and was concerned. Since I haven't been going to the dining room I haven't seen some folks. This morning heard a loud knock. This time a neighbor.  We had chatted a few days ago.  But nice to be checked on.

Dogs are very social and think anyone coming to door is for them.

Tootsie:  hope you are feeling better about things. 

I learned this evening my youngest niece lost her husband last night.

Good morning ~   I'm SURE it's Slippery Sunday June 9 2024!

After hiding under a rock yesterday, I made sure to look on my phone and every calendar I own to make sure I got the day and date.  Embarassing??? YUP!  We are SCC - we can have two Sundays!!!😁

kittyfan, as always you are a very Busy Bee.  Sorry to hear of your young niece losing her husband.  So sad and so young.  Glad you have caring neighbors to check on you. Jake and Holly are your official greeters - they are so cute - they own the place?😄

walker, so you had a night of a cute movie - The Parent Trap - I remember and liked that movie too.  Glad you were able to relax and go back to bed. Queen needs her Royal Rest.

Tootie, hope you are relaxing and you are completely done with all the nonsense. 

No news here same old DVS - it has been very warm lately - today will be 95 again.  Humidity yesterday was not as bad, but still around.  I can live without it forever!!

cookie, you are on it today!  I think you just test us to see if we know what day it is...ha.  But, in the world of SCC it doesn't matter.  Time is flying so fast we can't keep track.

A toasty day here.  

Got up in time to go to church here.  It's a good time to find out happenings.  Our package delivery guy is in hospital with Covid.  Here we go again.  Several others in hospital.  

Came back in time to attend brothers church on zoom.  

They are still working on take out system. Today they rolled out a cart with all the orders on it.  You give your apt number and off you go.  I didn't even sit down. She located my order and I was heading back.  This probably also helps in tracking. 

At church I did have an opportunity to speak to the garden lady. I told her I look out on the courtyard and watched her work.  I told her how much I enjoyed  her efforts.

She lives on my wing but not on my hall.  

Brother picked the perfect spot for me and dogs. He told me he had looked at a number of spots. One four levels. Anotherdid not  like the staff. I didn't know at the time he was doing all this on my behalf.  

Tootie:  glad to hear you are settling back in.  

Walker:  you certainly have busy grands. A need for a coat would be unheard of here!

Cookie:  hoping your grillmaster is cooking something great.

kittyfan, sounds like SO is getting with the times - take out orders.  As you said, probably helps with tracking.  Sorry about your package delivery guy - more COVID😟 Hope it stays away from everyone. Gremlin Germs are ot welcome anywhere!  Nice you have a Garden Lady to keep SO looking pretty.  Has Holly and Jake tried to help her?😄

DVS again.  I will be going with DD to Costco to look for glasses while she shops.  I have put getting glasses for sometime now and it's time.  We will be cooler today - 89.  Nice sunny days this week.

Well, I never did my laundry yesterday so I've got to get that done today ... Have a good day ... pouring and passing ... those flautas sound delicious ... according to google, "crispy rolled up tortillas filled with chicken and cheese" ... oh YUM!! I've never had one but would like to try them!!!

Another bright, sunny morning...but cool...no complaints.

DS called from FL yesterday and said he was calling from HE**!.....SO HOT!  100 I guess.....I know TX has seen their share of hot days too.  Glad it is cooling off for you today, cookie and kittyfan......89 degrees cool...ha.  

Thanks for looking up flautas, Tootie.  I'll try one too....sounds good to me as well.  

I think that carry-out system at SO sounds good, kittyfan.  I would probably enjoy eating by myself watching TV ..less indigestion...😉.  Less germs being shared too...stay well!

Not much happening in my world right now.  I am going to get a pedicure.....off with the gold which has been fun.
