I laughed at your Alexa picking up on your conversation but I'm not surprised ... we have one here and sometimes she can be quite entertaining ...

walker, that Precheck was a good idea ... DS got that before their trip to Disney ... he said it was so nice to just walk through especially with the kids .. but too bad you had to deal with Miss Congeniality ...

cookie, it sounds like you are getting summer weather now ... enjoy your longhorns if you do get outside ...

LG slept in yesterday morning and was fine when he woke and was good for the rest of the day ... DIL thinks it was a reaction to his shot ...

We'll have a 42ish degree day but rain is expected to move in ... I think we are in the homestretch with snow ... not much is predicted for the next couple of weeks 🤞🤞 and our town has lifted our parking ban which usually ends March 15th ... Have a good day ... pouring and passing.

Happy Thursday!  Rain south of us .... might be the rain coming your way, Tootie.  But, it sure is a nice thought that most of winter is behind us.....especially for your area that gets so much snow.  The snow plow drivers are missing some extra cash this season.  

Summer moving in for cookie and kittyfan.....85 is warm.

Enjoy some fresh air and Longhorns, cookie....you could walk around with an umbrella for shade ...😅.  It looks funny but works!  Sometimes I use an umbrella when I have to sit outside for baseball games in summer.

Good  Morning

One of the SO residents reported seeing a robin.  Today it does feel like spring.  They are predicting another long hot summer to come.

I am amazed at some folks here   That entitled attitude.  Yesterday at breakast a resident demanded one of the servers stop her duties to bring him a bananna.  He could have taken two steps to grab it himself  she dropped what she was doing to accomadte him.  I always try to say please and thank you.  The head server is a tough cookie  if she tells me where to sit I do so!  I know she has a tough job and i have learned to look past her tough exterior.  Part of this is working with the demanding public for so many years  

Oh I am picturing the longhorns.  Many moons ago I lived next to a small herd  Always enjoyed seeing them out and about.

I rousted the dogs out early  My day for housekeeping.  I put them on patio.  They are such drama queens.  They are back in their respective spots.

This morning i was directed to a table  I have seen the lady but dont know her.  She said she had eaten in for a week due to covid,  I told her i limited any contact  But I said I heard bingo was the hot spot.  She agreed too many people in close contact.

No news in my world.  

Glad LG is feeling better and Walker got TSA taken care of.

Good morning ~  Happy Friday!!!   (fooled you?)

Oh the entitled ~  What gives people the right to think they are above anyone?  I feel for the servers who have to put up with that.  Please and Thank you go a long way.  Laughing at your "Drama Queens"😄  We are going to be cooler today - only 73 - yesterday was very warm. Hope we can enjoy Spring before the summer temps take it over!

Tootie, hope the rain was not a downpour.  Glad LG woke up feeling better.  It is so hard for kids to be feeling sick.  Is the parking ban due to snow or bad weather?  Never experienced one(no parking under a rock😏).  

walker, it is hard to hold an umbrella with a walker😄.  I am using it because I have  balance issues and better safe than sorry. Hope to see the Longhorrns☂ today in cooler weather.  It was pretty warm yesterday but we had nice breezes.  

No news for DVS again. Got some laundry done and cleaned out my earrings - way too many!  Felt good to get something done!  Longhorns, here I come!

Good morning friends ... cookie 🙌🙌 you got it right!! today is Friday!! 😁 ... our parking ban is on every winter from October 15 - March 15 ... between the hours of 2am and 6am you can't park on the streets ... the town wants the streets free from cars so if we do get a lot of snow the plows can get them plowed ... because there isn't a lot of snow predicted for the next couple of weeks, our supervisor decided to lift it early ... we don't ever park on the street but to others, it's a great feat for them!! ... you'll have a nice day there today ... enjoy the longhorns ... we'll have a cloudy 42 degree day and tomorrow our high will only be 24!! what??

kittyfan, ugh, more demanding people ... and after working in the public you know how the workers would feel ... I bet you did a lot of "tongue biting" in your career 😉

walker, you're right, Spring is behind us!! yay!! now if we could get some sunshine here I would be happy 😎

I guess we are going to have a little bit of colder weather here today and that dreaded word "snow" was mentioned. I guess we need a reminder it is February.  Next week we start off with a couple 60 degree days.  🤷‍♀️

We don't have the required parking bans here in winter. People are asked to move cars off street during big snow events.  Common sense anyone?  Snow plows coming through!  Downtown Chicago has a big problem because there are not enough places to park.  If you don't move your car off the street, it will be towed away!  Then you pay a big fine to get it back.  

cookie, very glad you use a "walker" for balance issues.  If needed, I would too and mine would be decorated ...ha!  I want a horn on mine as well.  Residents in QM's home used to get their walkers mixed up all the time.  Then arguments begin....that's mine...NO, IT'S MINE!   Any problems with that at SO, kittyfan?

Hi there.....how is Friday going?  Ok here....laundry done and put away.  Took my "U"B! 😁 Sun was out this morning and pretty nice so DH and I took a walk.  NOW...winter is back...😩❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️

snow flurries.....not sticking yet..we are so spoiled from great weather this month.  

All from my corner of the world.....look what letter I have....V? Was waiting for Tootie to take it.   I just am not as good with U and V as cookie and Tootie.  OK, I'll try....

Hello friends ... walker, you did good with the U and V 😁 ... I had a nice visit with my girlfriend this afternoon so I couldn't hop on to get my letter or my laundry finished ... the sun came out this afternoon but now the sky is very gray and we are expecting rain ... you're so right about common sense with the winter parking ... our supervisor lifted the ban a couple times during the winter (when there was no chance of snow) but if it did snow people were supposed to move their cars ... 😳😲 that never happened and the plows had to go around them ...

We're having the kids overnight so if I don't get a chance to get on in the morning, you'll know why ...

Good afternoon

I played dominos with the ladies today.  Mixed bag.  I could have stayed ay SO to listen to all the ailments!!!!  Two had just goten over Covid.  I remain masked when out and about.

Hostess has a very large sweet dog.  He found some food in the kitchen to snck on,  He is on a  diet plan.  Not part of the plan

I got a call from CPA   I owe, which I expected but not quite that much. She cautioned it is due by April 15.  I am sure I will pay before then.  

Tootie:  Oh a sleepover  What fun.  I understand a full moon tonight.

kittyfan, how funny - hostesses  dog on a diet and sneaked some goodies from the kitchen to snack on.  Nice for Jake and Holly to have another friend too.  More COVID at Bingo - glad you masked up.  

Thank you Tootie for the parking ban explanation - I can uderstand why they would have one now. Who wants to move cars in the snow??  Hope LG is well.  You sure have some cold temps.  We will be 79🌞 today. I will send some up your way.  Hope it makes it through all the weird weather on the way up.🌞 It has been very nice here - can't wait for Spring.  Hope you warm up and we cool down a little.  

walker, love the "walker" story about the mixups and decorating mine!😂  I can see how a parking ban is common sense, but not many have any.  Sounds like way to collect more $$ for the city from the residents.
