Hello to Fribwl and welcome to the crazy ones!👋  We do enjoy each other.

No news here - manicure and pedicure this morning.  GS will take me and then we will pick up my car. Hope to go to get some glasses (more like for reading).  I have had the RX for months and never could coordinate getting to one.  GS will take me to the one he likes today or next week. Love that guy💓 I am so lucky to have such a great G'son. ✨🧨 

Tootie I hope your DH is recovering quickly and things are back to whatever is normal✌😊 You sure have some cold weather.  We may hit 62 with some rain.

Thanks ladies, DH is feeling better and I have managed 🤞 to steer clear of Covid!! I took a test yesterday and it was negative (no symptoms, although I still have this lingering cold/cough, but thought I would take one) ... DH has been holed up upstairs in our bedroom and I've been "living" downstairs ... now we wait until he gets a negative test ...

cookie, have fun with your GS today ... I see you getting onion rings again?? maybe?? 😊

kittyfan, hope things are getting better with your knee ... PT helping??

walker, ahhh, the "shopping with a list" but coming home with more ... I'm guilty of that too! and did you notice, gone are the days of running into the store for a few items and the bill being under $20?? ... I can't believe the price of food!!

Our high for today is 33 but we are finally supposed to get some sunshine ... everything is better with sunshine 😎

Happy Friday!  Yesterday was sunny but today more clouds.  Still dry ....no ❄️...so no complaints!

Tootie, glad DH is improving and you are still negative there!  Hope it continues.  LG and LS must be missing their weekly visits.

cookie, big smiles today for you....mani/pedi, more time with GS and your car....onion rings too? haha New year starting off good!  

I drove past my nail salon before NYEve weekend and it was closed.  I was so surprised for such a busy time of the year.  I circled back to read a sign on door..."closed due to plumbing issues".....a friend said it had been closed two weeks.  I drove past yesterday and still closed.  She (owner) has lost so much business at such a busy time of the year.  I feel bad for her and hope this doesn't kill the business.  She has been struggling since Covid caused shutdown.  

kittyfan, good to hear from you.  Hope things at SO are going ok.  Must be time for visit from your brother (?).

Friends are taking us out to dinner tonight to celebrate DH's birthday.  They could not join us on his birthday.  Looking forward to dinner...good food and friends!

walker, glad to hear you had a nice dinner Birthday celebration for your DH - good food, good friends.  Sorry to hear about your nail lady - it's hard enough trying to make a living, and owners are losing business right and left! 😞 Hope things iprove for her🤞

Got to the nail salon early and it was so nice to see them.  I really enjoy being there - they are so sweet and sincere. Also very good at what they do.  These two ladies  do such a good job and keep us laughing too!  A bonus!!  Had a great time with DS - he took me to my ENT's new office so I won't get lost when going there - he is my own GPS😃  No onion rings. Too many appointments!  Got the car back and it was less $$$ than they thought. Always nice a nice surprise! Home for a long UB!!  Great shop and great people there!!!

walker, hope you had a good dinner with friends ... Covid has really done a number on businesses ... I hope your salon can reopen ... DH has been getting "get well" videos from the kids 😊 ... we're planning on watching them this coming Friday, so DH has another week to recuperate ... when DIL was prompting LS to say "I miss you grandpa" she looks at the phone (camera) and says "I miss grandma!" 😂😂😂 sorry grandpa!!

DH is feeling a lot better now and is going to test this morning 🤞 ... not sure how long it can last (there's so much info online but all so different) but we'll see.

Happy Saturday!  Slept in and woke up to a pretty winter scene outside.  Just enough snow fell overnight to cover ground and trees ....pretty picture.  Trouble signing in here this morning!  Here we go again.

cookie, so glad you are having happier days....the tough survive, eh?  SCC Strong!  Carry on!  I laughed too about your GS being your GPS.  Another great guy!

Tootie, glad your DH is feeling better.  Hard part is feeling better but you have to finish the nasty medicine...ha!  Cute story about messages from LG and LS with special "shout-out" to grandma!

Well, I had to cancel our dinner plans last night...☹️.  Friends understood and we will reschedule.  For some unknown reason, my blood pressure spiked yesterday...very high!  It has happened before but, thankfully, not often.  I monitored it during the day with little improvement.  I knew I could not enjoy dinner out worrying about it.  The last time this happened my doctor said I could take another of my BP pills so I did that.  It was still high when I went to bed.  This morning closer to normal!!!  Thank heavens!  I must have flushed whatever salt was in my system out yesterday....drank a lot of water...got exercise back and forth to bathroom.

So, feeling better today....will check again later.  DD and I are suppose to go have a drink tonight to celebrate DIL's niece turning 21.  🤞 I can make this one.
