Happy Saturday!  I'm so tired I don't really know what day it is..ha!  

First birthday celebration is done....alleluia!  I did it!  Everything went well...plenty of food and mimosas!

One of the Three Amigos was sick and DIL stayed home with him.  Too bad...not sure if they will make dinner or not.  

Onto party #2....more relaxing for me! Starting to wind down.

I will not be going to SIL's folks today fo their Christmas celebration. The pain of riding that long in a

the car is not for me.  I wil send his Mom Christmas wishes - she is such a lovely lady and I will miss her, but am not in a great place lately.  I will stay here with Molly and the dogs - no issues with them.

cookie, all we want for Christmas is for you to feel better again...maybe you just need to start a new year ....roll on again...fresh start...SCC Strong!  

Family party last night was a lot of fun!  We roasted DH a bit and had a lot of laughs!  Big surprise was DD set up a Zoom call with DH and his two brothers...east coast and west coast.  Best birthday ever! DD made a Boston Cream Pie Cake and it was delicious!!   DIL did come but one amigo stayed home...hopefully, joining us tomorrow.

Today we will relax....yippeee....and go to Christmas Eve Mass later.  Then home to eat leftovers...ha....I have enough food here to feed the neighborhood.  Tomorrow the kids will come over late morning for gift exchange.  Then the letdown....all leave....Christmas over!  I should be relieved, right?

Well, all for now...I need more coffee.....👋👋 to Tootie and kittyfan.  Hope everyone enjoys a peaceful and restful day.

Good morning.

Christmas Eve.  Even though I am not Catholic when I was young friends would attend Midnight mass. Special memories.

Happy to hear the party was amazing. Special the brothers could join.  I am challenged but have joined zoom events. Took me a bit to navigate.  So sweet brothers could be included. Hopefully today the amigo can join the festivities.  I know food was great and fellowship was joyful.

Woke up to rain drops.  More coming. 

News from the Home!  Yesterday lunch was a zoo.  All tables occupied. There is a new chef. I knew they were looking for a third.  Hoping there is a change in the menu!   Lunch yesterday was good.  Went to breakfast this morning. I was a bit late arriving as I didn't want to get up!   My neighbor across the Court yard commented on my arrival!   He is the one who talks to the dogs.  

I heard that one of the maintenance men had quit.  He was a pleasant young man with a handsome young son.  I wish him well.  The other maintenance person was a huge help to brother putting up the dog fence and hanging the TV. 

I am joining brothers church this morning. This evening will be a candlelight service here for Christmas Eve. 

I did laundry yesterday but didn't complete putting it all away.  I need to do a bit of picking up also.   I need to do dog blankets but may wait to less gloomy day.  Jake likes to snuggle. Holly snuggles on the bed. But they do look for each other.

Am going to fix another cup of coffee and toast you lovely ladies.

G'kids are coming over this morning for breakfast/brunch and gift exchange.  I will be glad to see them.  They are my reason for breathing!

I ended up going to a WellNow (like an urgent care place but not affiliated with an ER)  here yesterday ... I still have this lingering cold and developed a terrible cough and wheezing ... I have some kind of an upper respiratory virus ... they took an xray and I got some meds and was sent on my way. I should be able to go to DS's today ...

DH and I went to Mass last night and it was very nice.  I sat next to an elderly woman.  She left right after Mass but forgot her purse.  I quickly grabbed it and caught up with her.  She was so appreciative and surprised.  I just said....Merry Christmas and she smiled saying the same.  Kind of a touching moment.

The family will all come later this morning for our gift exchange...maybe a few mimosas...food and then good-byes...😢...but, a gift and blessing to have all been together.
