Good morning friends ... kittyfan, you had a busy day yesterday ... glad all went well at your doctors appointment ... laughed at your DB doing your "honey do" list ... tell him no peeking at the Amazon account until after Christmas! 😉 ... glad you enjoyed your dinner with DB and his wife .. sounds like a good times for you!!

cookie, glad you were able to get out for your manicure and then gallivanting with DS/SO ... sorry that darn sciatica is still bothering you ... I know that can last a while but you seem to have it under control somewhat ...

walker, I think quality and quantity in products has gone down but prices go up!!

We're going to have a nice Spring day today ... high of 60!! I think I'll crack the window to get some fresh air in ... I was looking online for gifts for DS/SIL and found a Star Wars hoodie for DS but was not going to pay the shipping ... store is close by so decided to head out after dinner ... got it and also found a dressy sweater for DIL (hope she likes it) .. I was surprised for a Friday night during Christmas season that the store was not crowded at all, I could have gone bowling ... and no lines at all ... now I just need to pick up a gift card for them and I am done!

Happy Saturday to all!  It is raining here now but clearing later.  It doesn't matter to me as I will be inside making and baking! 😁 Fixing things I can freeze for DH's brunch party.

🤞🤞🤞🤞 this all comes together....I better have a lot of mimosas ready...haha.  Later today we will go to a basketball game for GS.

kittyfan, sounds like you had a fun day....well, except doctor visit but company and eating out makes it all worthwhile.  I had to laugh at your expression of "insomnia train"....I've ridden it too many times! 😆

Fun continues for cookie too with DS in town.  Glad that you can enjoy even with the sciatica discomfort.  Go, cookie, Go! 

Tootie, lucky you to be almost done with shopping...gift card easy to find! 😉  I guess Friday night is time to shop when everyone else is out at a party, bar or restaurant for evening.  I am almost done thanks to online shopping...and finding free shipping. 👍...💸💸

My morning coffee is still just ok even though I increased amount of coffee.  I will buy better coffee next week and keep trying.  Like everything else, coffee has gotten so expensive I have been buying those on sale.  Also, I have been buying medium roast and think I need to get the dark roast.  I better get this figured out soon before brunch.  I want to buy a new coffee maker but DH disagrees...🙄. Going to investigate new coffee makers anyway.  Santa may come early...ha!

the weather outside is frightful. But thankfully not snowing. Temps are dropping and wind is howling.  

Well I expected brother as he was doing a grocery run for me. I didlaundry but didn't put it away. I didn't think he would be there till late.  I was lunching with the ladies when  my phone rings yep he's calling. I didn't get to it and was going to call him back when he appears. Said he couldn't stay as he has groceries and grabbed my key.  He does have a key but doesn't always bring it.  I introduced him and he disappeared. After lunch I walked into find he had folded the laundry, swept the floor, rearranged the pantry, and made the bed. That is futile has Holly burrows. Argh.  Had I know I would have taken care of things. I did buy a small Christmas tree but could not figure out how to put the batteries in.  So he fixed that and decorated the tree as we chatted. He also wiped the paw prints off the sliding glass door. 

We discussed some things and he packed up to go.our routine is I always walk him out. We walked out and said goodbyes and I stopped to check my mail.  He goes past me saying he forgot his phone.  I waited and he comes back with his phone and folder we were discussing.  We said goodbye again.heading back on Monday until after the first. 

His lovely wife was under the weather. She has reactions to shots and had the flu shot.

kittyfan, you sure had a day!  Your brother is just amazing! Holly burrowing reminds me of Molly who likes to get under the bed covers and burrow from her position on the floor.  Pets do such funny things - that's why we love them. Hope your brother's wife feels better soon!  

walker, hope Santa comes early with a new coffee maker and some good dark roast coffee.  It is well worth the price to have good coffee.  Love my Cuisinart with no pot (coffee stored in the well) - just put the cup under the lighted spout and pour. DS bought one the last time he was here as he liked it so much. 

Tootie, you are going to be warmer than we will be today - 57!   Glad you found what you wanted and some nice things at a store that was not crowded.  Hope you got that last gift card.  Done and Done- UB's on the menu with, of course a Marvelous Mimosa or two🥂😃

The Galloping Gourmands spent most of the day galloping around and came back for some chatter.  Good time.  Then out to the favorite  steak house for dinner.  I elected to stay home - leg doesn't sit long enough and I was tired from sitting on the bed doing the exercises that are working.  Doing nothing is tiring!🥱 DS and So are leaving about now for their flight.  It was so nice to see them!

Good morning friends ... I finally got caught up on my sleep as I slept in a bit this morning!!

kittyfan, wow! your DB is one efficient man!! you are so lucky to have him in your life ... he goes in and gets things done!! but I bet Holly was mad 😉

cookie, glad you had a good visit with your DS/SO ... I will be getting my last card when I go grocery shopping ... they have all kinds there and they always have a promotion going at Christmas time ... collect points as you shop and then get $$ off ...

walker, hope you can get your coffee adjusted to your liking ... LOL at Santa coming early with a new one but how about Happy Birthday DH!! 😂 .. we hemmed and hawed for a long time about getting a Keurig ... we got one after our coffee maker died ... we are very happy with it and the choices of coffee (and flavors) are endless but the pods can be pricey ... we like Green Mountain (but use other brands as well) and watch for sales at the store or on A (who usually has the best prices)

We had a nice warm(er) day yesterday ... not so much today, rainy and high of 46 ... Have a good day ... pouring and passing.

Happy Sunday!  Chilly day here..30's but mild week ahead...40's..👏.  I need dry days for running errands.  FL family will be disappointed if we don't have snow when they arrive.  Too bad...so sad....ha!  A little dusting on Christmas Eve will be nice though.

Thanks for dark robust coffee, kittyfan! Ha....I need it!

kittyfan, your brother continues to amaze us!  He is unbelievable!  A true blessing in your life.  We are happy for you ..... would he like to take anymore side trips to meet SCC?  😂 I could really use his help this time of the year! 😂  I will send QA for him...LOL!

cookie, sad to see DS leave but I know you enjoyed your time with him and SO.  So nice of them to make an early holiday visit.  

Coffee makers....I have not seen that type of coffee maker, cookie, but will look for it....sounds convenient.  I also have a Keurig like Tootie.  It is very convenient.  I may get that out for brunch to offer decaffeinated coffee.  I'll use my other one (or new one..😉) for regular coffee.  DH used the Keurig when I used to travel to visit my mother.  But, for both of us we use regular one daily.  I put Keurig away because it was taking up extra space.  

Guess I will glance at paper and then have breakfast.  Think I will write cards today.  I usually enjoy sending those out but it is an extra chore now.  I must have too many other things on my mind now..ha!   Do you still send out cards?  We get fewer each year.

Hello friends ... walker, I only send a handful of cards out ... I get less and less each year ... so you gave me the idea of writing mine out too ... but!! I don't have any! I thought I bought a new box last year (after Christmas) but I must not have ... I'll get some tomorrow, I have to go grocery shopping ... I like your idea about DB helping out 😁😂

Hi there.....end of another day....gray day here too....beginning to realize how unmotivated I am without sunshine....🥴.  Oh well, more gray days ahead in winter.

No other news....watched your Buffalo Bills beat KC Chiefs, Tootie....👏👏.  Also watched the tour of White House Christmas decorations (DH agreed I could click back and forth on channels.haha) ....some decorating I liked...some not so much.  It would be fun to be part of that decorating.  SCC could sign up and volunteer next year! 😂😂   I am fascinated with White House history....house, families, etc, not the politics within.

Good evening. A quiet day for me.  Went to breakfast then to church here.  Back to join zoom for Sunday school and services at brothers church.  I took a UB and decided not to go to dinner. I had food thanks to my shopper.  He loves to shop so would Love it!!!

We are expecting freeze warnings. I saw on the news about tornados in TN. fHG is fine but is checking on another friend in the affected area. 

Have PT tomorrow.  Thankfully no doctors until next year.

Good morning ~

walker, I know you like good coffee and so do I.  Here is a description of my coffee maker: Cuisniart DCC-300 It is a coffee on demand 12 Cup programmable with filter.  A has a lot of the newer models as well as this one which I love.  We also have a Keurig which I  do not care for as all the coffee tastes too waterery. DD took the regular one to work and got a slim one which tastes the same. ( we use Green Mtn and another one, which I don't remember, that was very good.  Just give me dark roast, strong and dark please. Babble, babble babble. sorry I got carried away.

Tootie, sending Christmas cards has sure become a thing of the past.  I don't send them anymore and we don't get as much as we used to either.  Hope you find some cards and your weather improves - cold and rain?  We will be 64 - warmer than yesterday.  Crazy weather!  

kittyfan, I didn't see the freeze warnings or the tornado in TN.  Thank you for the update on FHG.  I always enjoyed her posts.  Gold stars for your amazing brother and best wishes for his wife.
