Hi there......gray, damp day here....did some inside chores but otherwise quiet....or just Dull!  Ha!  Yup, Dullsville it is!

kittyfan, it is sad when some residents pass at homes such as yours ....different people at different stages of life.  I remember getting to know people where my mother lived....then...gone...😢.  Sigh...life.  Guess that is why my mother called it "The Lord's Waiting Room".

Time to check on dinner and pour a glass of 🍷...Cheers to all!   See you in the morning.

kittyfan,  sad about the loss at Shady Oaks.  Your brother is sure taking good care of you. Hope he likes your PT as much as you seem to.  What a guy and an lucky lady you are!

walker, no leaves on the trees and on the lawn.  Good thing your city picks up the leaves you blew to the curb.  They don't do that here.  Would be nice.  We had a sligh windy day yesterday - must be everywhere.

No leaves for Tootie either.  We didn't lose many and trees still have leaves probably not for long.   We will have 5-10 mph winds today  with 63 temps.  

I am definately not going to T'Day.  Yesterday, I fell as I was getting into the car.  I hadn't moved - all of a sudden, I just fell over to my right😣  Not light headed or out of balance, just fell on my rear.  Couldn't get up as my legs don't work well from the floor up.  Scraped my knees trying to get into the car.  This wasn't fun so I pressed my SOS button on my LIfe Station and three EMS guys were here in 15 minutes. Neighbors across the street also came right over.  They EMS guys pulled me up with no problems and I walked into the house with them and the neighbors.  They took my PB and Blood Sugar and asked some questions.  I did find a bruise on the side of my knee that is ugly but I feel okay.  I still have some weird pains from Sciatica?  Itching has calmed down and for that I am grateful.  It's not fun being old!!!!  I will survive - SCC Strong!!

I'm glad you're ok after that fall ... it sounds like your legs just gave out on you ... are you going to follow up with your doctor?? maybe something else is going on ... and how lucky you are to have your SOS button ... take care my friend!! 💗 I'm glad you didn't break any bones.

kittyfan, I laughed when you said your DB has to approve your PT ... what a guy!! .. you like her so I'm sure he will too ... good luck as you continue on with it.

Well today is prep day ... DH will make his desserts, pumpkin pie and a (new adventure for him) chocolate cheesecake ... I'll get my squash done and then get all my other goodies ready in bags so I don't have to run around tomorrow looking for things ... I've got my "to go" list ready!

cookie, I am really sorry you had your fall.  Certainly glad it wasn't worse with you hitting your head or something else.  Glad the "button" worked and EMS came quickly.  Very odd why it happened but we have a friend who has neuropathy (?) problems.  His balance is not real good and he says sometimes his leg from knee down will just go numb.  Sorry you will miss Thanksgiving out.  DD and SIL will probably bring home some yummy leftovers.

kittyfan, I had to chuckle too at your brother's comment about PT person.  Cute.....what a guy!  We all love him!  

Have a good day prepping, Tootie.  Chocolate Cheesecake..yum....I really like cheesecake but have never had chocolate.  

All for now....feels odd not running around preparing things for Thanksgiving but I was not asked to bring anything tomorrow.  I will go out and pick up some flowers to take.  Might also bake some muffins for their day after breakfast!

Hello friends ... walker, how nice that your kids are giving mom a break this year ... your flowers and muffins sound like a good idea ... I just finished up the cranberry sauce!! I will admit I couldn't figure out how this was going to turn out with no liquid while baking ... but oh my gosh!! it turned out great!! we didn't have rum brandy so I added Cointreau (an orange liqueur) ... and of course we sampled the sauce while still warm ... sooooo good!! ... thank you for an easy and delicious recipe!!

Now on to the squash ...

Oh my gosh, Tootie, I did not know you were going to try the old cranberry sauce recipe!  I am glad you like it.  Adding the orange liqueur was a good idea.  I'll remember that one if I don't have brandy available.  I'm not even making that this year.  

We will have dinner with kids at DIL's parents' house.  I picked up a floral arrangement this morning.  It was all wrapped and I had planned on taking it tomorrow. Then I thought, why do that....near their house so go now.  Then she won't have to wonder where to it put it when she is busy with so much else.  Perfect!  She LOVED the flowers and put them on her dining room table right away. 👍

I'll still do muffins this afternoon.

So, speaking of cranberry sauce, DIL's mother said she had just made my recipe too.  Like you, Tootie, she said they like a little orange in theirs so she added a little orange marmalade.  She said..yummy!  Can't wait to try it.

Some new variations of an old recipe.  My mother would be so pleased.

Just heard about a car explosion at bridge crossing...USA-Canada in your area, Tootie.  Yikes!  No details yet.

Well, I'll take a break and then bake muffins.  cookie, hope you are doing ok today.  👋👋 to kittyfan.

Hello friends ... done!! squash, cranberry sauce, pumpkin soup, pumpkin pie and chocolate cheesecake are all done and packed away in the refrigerator ... (boy was that a challenge to find space for all of that .. every nook and cranny is filled!) 😂 ... dishes are done and kitchen is all cleaned up!

Yeah, that explosion was about a 30 minute ride from me, not real close ... but close enough!! they have ruled out terrorism and think it was a medical issue? ... kind of scary though.

I'm taking a UB for the rest of the night ... see you tomorrow.

I had PT this morning. She is great andi enjoy her efforts. Jake got excited when the doorbell rang.  He didn't understand what was happening. She showed me a pic of her dog.  Beautiful GS mix. 

I have a story to tell about brother. When he lived in town (for over 40 years) he was very particular and took great pride in his yard. Now he has the condo and second home.  He decided he was done with yard work.  Has someone take care of it!  Well he was home yesterday when the fella was working. Told him not to use the riding mower. Left marks. He had to use push mower. Knowing him I am certain he supervised every detail!  He would get along great with Mr. Walker, and Mr. tootie!  Three peas in a pod!!!!

I have so much to be thankful for.  Wishing everyone a joyful day.

Thank you friends for your kind wishes.  I am gradually feeling better.  Finding new pains where I did not fall.  ???  i am staying home relaxing with a long UB today.  I am very thankful and grateful for what I have and what I have not.   

Tootie, glad that explosion was not too close to you, but as you said -close enough!  Your prep sounds so delicious!  Especially Chocolate Cheesecake! You are very ready for today.  Yummy Tummies!

walker, what a good and  nice solution for a busy lady - beautiful flowers early!  I'll bet she loved them.  QM's recipe is going viral so to speak.  YUM!
