Tootie, how cute - LG yelling for Grandpa before he even got to your house.  Kids are so cute.  Good to have such good interaction with the G'parents.  Memories in the making.  A toast to kids and Grandparents with a Mimosa Float???😁 

walker, hope you remembered to bring your crown just in case😊 and hope you are enjoying your visit. 

kittyfan - these fires are awful!  Glad they are not too close but smelling the fires is close!  Hope you were able to get some sleep. 

No big plans here.  Still hoping for rain.  Have ex'es paperwork to keep me busy and of course there are always UB's!

Good morning friends ... cookie, I can't send you any rain (until possibly Monday) but we're at 54 degrees right now I can send some coolness your way ... Fall is certainly in the air here (at least in the mornings) I know we still have at least another month of summer left ... glad you are able to stay indoors and get some of your work and much needed UB's done ...

kittyfan, I can imagine the smell of those fires! hopefully, they'll be able to get a hold on them ... stay safe.

walker, hope you made it safely with no issues on the road.

Even though it's chilly now, we'll have a nice 78 degree day ... Have a good day ... pouring and passing ... gee, I haven't had Rice-A-Roni in years ... DS loved it as a kid but not so much anymore!!

Good Morning Friends!  🇺🇸🙏.....☀️

Greetings and Happy Saturday from North Carolina.  We made it but too much 🚗 for one day!!  14 1/2 hours driving!  On top of getting up at 4:00AM to leave by 5:00...ugh.  Needless to say Lucy and Desi were very tired at end of day!  Not a good thing!  We met a friend of DS's in West Virginia so DS rode rest of way in with him.  On last stretch in Desi took a wrong turn and we were going out of our way....NOT WHAT YOU WANT WHEN YOU ARE TIRED!!!  I usually pay better attention but Lucy missed it too.  UGH!!  We got back on track and met DS and his friend for dinner.  By the time we got to hotel we were really drained....Lucy tried to tell Desi where to go,park, etc, ...did not go well....we walked in and looked like two ugly Americans...HA!!!  DS just shook his head..ha.  Just think....tomorrow we get to do it again!!

The Adventures of Desi and Lucy continue.....

Going to Memorial Service in about an hour.  This afternoon we rest.  DS will be out with friends.  We have some friends picking us up for dinner later which will be fun.

Hello friends ... oh my gosh walker! 14 1/2 hours driving?? that's a loooong time ... but glad you made it ... I am laughing at what happened when you told Desi where to park ... (been there, done that! 😉) ... I hope it was a nice remembrance Memorial and that you had a good dinner with friends ... Safe travels as you had back home ... 🚗

I had a lazy day ... got a bike ride in early and then just UB'd pretty much the rest of the day ... perfect weather to sit on the patio.

Hi there.....checking in before checking out again...ship sails early tomorrow.  Now, DS and friend just told us the hotel here has a fire pit.  They are going to set a fire and sit outside for awhile...guess we will join them.  Can't believe a hotel allows this...oh well.  

Lucy and Desi doing better today.  Memorial Service very sad and touching.  I started to tear-up when we walked in and saw all the displayed photos.  Then DS spoke during service in remembrance of his friend...more 😥😥.  Parents were happy to see us.  

Geeez....Desi getting uptight already..LUCY...do you have your alarm set for early wake-up....YES, DESI....REEEEELAX....

Guess we will go out to bonfire.....hope we don't start a NC Forest Fire...😳.

walker, what a drive!!! No wonder Lucy and Desi are tired.  I also got a chuckle when you told Desi where to park😄  The memorial service sounds like was very touching and nice.  Always sad😥 and how nice that your DS spoke in remembrence of his friend.

Tootie,  great U!  That took some careful thinking😊Glad you were able to get an early bike ride and what a nice day - UB's and great weather to sit outside.  I am envious!

More documents for DHex  to create, copy, file and mail.  Fortunately, he provided me with the information needed on paper.  Finished one yesterday - all ready to go.  Hope to do the same today and be done!

Good evening

Wow that was a drive. And quick return. I know it meant a lot to the family.

Yesterday I went to TS. Djd a basket of little clothes. Racks full.

After TS went to Cafe. All staff wearing masks. Hadn't seen that in a while. Didn't see my guy. Didn't see him last visit. Maybe moved to brct chapter. Hate when they just vanish.
Today did some outside tasks. It was hot and I didn't accomplish as much as I hoped. Nrxt weekbis TS. Don't know who will be there. Not a lot of donations thankfly.

My hand issue has been developing for a time. Had yo fk creative typing. Know I know the issue I think I am more aware of my limitations.

kittyfan, With the new strain - Monkeypox -  I hope to see more masks.  No one was wearing one when I went to my manicure.  The salon is big and very, very clean but no masks?!!😷😷   Hope your hand issues get better.  Good thing to know your limitations.  Glad you got to visit the Cafe and they were wearing masks 😷  Too bad you didn't get to see your guy. 

Tootie, hope you enjoyed your bike ride with your DD.  Lucky you are to have such nice weather to do so.  We may hit triple digits -or may not🤔🤨  Has LG expressed a desire to ride with Grammine yet?  Better get a double seater as I think LS will be if LG is😄

walker, hope you got out of NC before any fires started 😄😄 and had a safe trip back.  Long drive for Lucy and Desi.

Good morning friends ... kittyfan, with it being so hot I can see why you couldn't get much done outside ... that heat just zaps you!! ... glad you got a chance to get over to the Cafe ... your guy that was missing, does that mean he may have moved on to another place?? ... more clothes for the littles ... I know those have to move fast ... the kids are only in them for a little time and buying brand new can be expensive ...

cookie, I see some people with kids riding on the back of bikes but most use those carts that attach to the back of the bike for the kids ... I don't know how some do it .. I'd be huffing and puffing like a steam engine ... 🚂🥵 hahaha! sorry LG/LS 😊 ... hope things have settled down on the homefront.

walker, hope you had a safe trip home ... anxiously waiting for a Lucy and Desi update ... 😉😁

We'll have another 80 degree day and our humidity has been staying low ... (sorry cookie and kittyfan ... your weather has got to break at some point ...) our weather was hot like yours for a few days and it was brutal!! can't imagine everyday being like that ...
