Happy Tuesday!  Another nice day coming up here...more time for walking...and crunching...through the leaves!  I think our warm temperatures are coming your way, Tootie. Enjoy!  We will start cooling off soon.

Oh, memories of Lucy and her great show!  So many people smoked back then.  We did see it a lot.  My parents always had ashtrays in house for friends who smoked.  My father smoked but quit when I was little.  I remember when I was young ..and stupid...I tried smoking to be cool but looked like a fool instead...sputter...sputter...cough, cough.  Tried once...never again!!  Thank heavens society has changed.  Remember going into smoke filled restaurants and bars? Ugh!  Then they had smoking areas separate and finally no smoking!  Hooray!

Heard from my brother last night that he has Covid! Oh no!

He had the J&J vaccine. He is part of the J&J Study Program so they follow him closely.  His doctor sent him to hospital but he was sent back home.  He said he has fever, chills and coughing.....very tired.  I will wait to hear more today.  This takes awhile to recover from right, cookie?  Thankful you got through it.  kittyfan is right...living with Covid may be here to stay.  Don't let your guard down! 

Well, guess I will look for paper...was late yesterday...after I read it online it came....ha!  But, coffee with friends is better anyway.

walker, sorry to hear of your brother having COVID.  Fortunately he has doc's keeping watch over him.  Yes, it does take awhile to recover.  I was very luck to only be very tired and have the itchy cough.  It did take about 2 weeks to completely get better.  Sending good thoughts and prayers for your brother 🙏🌺

cookie and Tootie, thank you for your nice thoughts and get well wishes for my brother.  When you hear "Covid" you fear the worst.  I remember when you had it cookie.  You were very tired for a long time.  I'll have to tell my brother...."BE PATIENT"!  Men are not the best patients!

My sister-in-law is a nurse so he will listen to her.  Hope she stays well!

Good ol' Lucy....that Vita-Mita-Vegimin one....🤣🤣...and it's so tasty too!  So many good shows!  The candy shop one...hilarious.....Lucy would get Ethel in so many messes...Come on Ethel...haha...and Ricky bellowing....LUCY!!!!

Walker: so sorry your DB is ill. So many people testing positive even with vacs. Lady at TS is vaccinated. But her family refuses v DIL I'll still having lingering issues from pneumonia

There is a recovery center in my town. We gave v them some start up monies to open a TS. Well I see they will open soon. About t he same hours as we do. But th we e are some extended holiday hours. Hope they do well. We have Goodwill (higher than us), a small store run by Catholjc church ladies that h as been around forever and a larger store benefiting Battered WomenscCenter. We are the best organized in the area. Just lost volunteers after Covid. We fo pay two young (strong) people to accept donations and someone to clean (sweep/mop) everyone else is volunteer.

We were able to pay off bank shortly be g ore Covid. Now we have issue with sinkholes in parking lot. Someone v to address it but $$$ we do have it but always an issue. They want to expand but for now on hold. Not enough volunteers more space would need more. Will see. I know when we moved it it seemed so large. But it quickly filled up.

Yes so many great LUCY episodes. And yes the smoke filled restaurants. I remember when office went to NS. I has a boss who favored cigars. Yuck.

Thanks, kittyfan.  Nice to hear from you too.  My goodness...sinkholes in TS parking lot.  I have heard of those in FL but not TX.

My brother called this morning.  He sounds like he has a bad cold.  He was to have a video conference today to discuss an infusion procedure tomorrow.  Procedure is suppose to be successful treating Covid.  Here's hoping!  He said it was what President Trump had when he was ill with Covid.  🤞 He has no idea where he picked this up.  He doesn't live under a rock but hasn't been in crowds either.  He had been out to eat last week and some shopping.  Normal things.  I'm sure he wears a mask.  We never know what our hands touch though.....just don't think about it.  Back to wash, wash, wash your hands!

Busy day....I got quite a few things done in and around the house.   Tired myself out so no walk today.  I'll have to crunch leaves another day.

Hello friends ... walker, I hope all goes well with your DB tomorrow ... you're right! wash, wash, wash your hands and wear a mask ... I guess we have to be very vigilant as I don't think this virus is going away anytime soon ... we all have to be on our guard! ... that's why as much as I miss being at Church, I'm not going back just yet ... especially now that Flu season will be upon us ...

kittyfan, yikes!! watch out for those sinkholes ... I hope the Recovery TS does well ... it sounds like there a few TS's around ...

We attempted to purchase the land for the TS. Owner not working with us. We had Ernest money on a plot of land by a church--'not everyone happy. Well as we were meeting the President got a text. He would sell..talk about divine intervention. It was site of an auction barn. I understand the septic tanks were located where we are having issues. I only drive park where I know it's OK. First popped up when someone mowing grass. Continued to get worse. So need to address

Wow!  kittyfan, sounds like the parking area of the TS could turn into a big mess.  Septic problems are no fun!!  It sounds as if they ran the pipes under the area where the parking lot is located.  Not a great idea to have that much weight over the pipes.  Hope they can fix the problem soon or find another location.  The pie sounds wonderful.

walker, sounds like some help is on the way for your DB.  Good thing the doc was on top of it.  Hope all goes well for him.  I agree - wash, wash, wash your hands!!!  Wear a mask.  I have noticed more and more people who do not wear masks anymore and wonder about washing hands.  Scary when you think of the end results of not doing so.

I agree with you Tootie, I  think this is going away any time soon.  Vigilance!!!  You are sure have some cooler weather - we will be 84 today.  Shouldn't complain as the days have been like Spring.
