Glad you had good book club meeting.  I like smaller groups.  And, hope Helpless Hannah finds herself a ride to theater.....no Uber service by kittyfan!  

I can't get over your story about the pet tortoises in your area!  Good grief....strange pet.....definitely not cuddly!

Another damp, gray day here...🙁...but, I was productive....cleaned out my pantry and reorganized everything!  It really needed it and looks much better now. 
Now.....can I keep it that way? Ha! 🤞

Hello friends ... kittyfan, glad you enjoyed your BC and your meal .. oh wow, that's one big tortoise!! I can't imagine having one of those for a pet ... laughing at walkers comment about not being cuddly 😂🤣 ... definitely not!!

walker, good for you organizing your pantry ... makes you feel good doesn't it?? ... if it's anything like our house, you'll have to tell DH to put things back where he got them from and not where there is an empty spot on the shelf ...  hahahaha!!

Good afternoon ~

Funny story about the Tortoises kittyfan.  When my oldest was about 6, we had a Tortoise - only weighed about 15 pounds.  He lived in the back yard and DS fed him lettuce and vegs.  The neighbors across the street had one also.  They went on vacation and we Tortoise sat for them.  Well, after a couple of days - no Tortoises!!!!  They must have run away and got married😄  DS was heartbroken.  We missed him as well.  Never saw either one again.

We had a short T-storm with loud thunder and some lightning just as I was leaving the shop where I got the inspection.  Driving home in real rain.  Got home as it was ending.  walker, yes it is a good feeling to be home with nasty weather!  

walker so envious of you - a clean reorganized pantry!  Maybe you should get a sign out sheet?!  There is just something about men that doesn't equate with PUT BACK WHAT YOU USE and where you got it!!!

Good morning ~

I am replying to myself this morning!  More scattered T-storms today and UB part 2 will be my choice of activities 😄   DS and BFF arrived at the airport early - good thing - BFF lost her DL and didn't discover that until security checkpoint - fortunately they accepted her expired license and SS card.  To say DS was not delighted is an understatement.  They boarded with no other problems. Arrived home safely 🧡 and she is still a "member" of the family😊

Remember when I mentioned that DD held a magnet to my arm where I got my COVID shot?  Found out the reasoning behind it - ready for this?  The ingredients that make up the shots contain metal pieces. Haven't heard anything as crazy as that in years!!!!!  Dumb IMO

Glad your arm is feeling better Tootie.  walker, is you pantry still intact?  kittyfan, any news on the Tortoises?

Good morning friends ... hahaha cookie, thanks for the laugh first thing this morning ... LOL that you are replying to yourself!! 😂 .. your tortoise story was cute ... is having a tortoise for a pet a Texas thing?? ... DIL's BIL won't get the vaccine because he says they are putting a chip in us??!! (to watch our every move) I guess to each his own!! ... glad that your BFF was able to still board the plane and get home ... I can only imagine how she felt when she realized she lost her license ..

We'll have a pleasant 72 degree day ... walker, you mentioned about A/C the other day ... we still are using ours here, which I am surprised at ... it's the middle of October!! ... oh, and you asked about wedding bells with my DD ... not yet 😕

I'll take B, C, and D ....all of above!!!  Bacon wrapped grilled cheese?  YUM!  C ...Candy Corn...my favorite and believe it or not, Tootie, I have not purchased any yet!  And, always room for D...Doughnuts....had yummy ones at apple orchard Saturday.  Now I am very hungry..ha! 

What a story about your BFF, cookie.  Talk about panic!!!

I don't have an expired DL....and never carry my SS card...I would be out of luck!  I can only imagine your DS's reaction. Lucky for her she got through.

My pantry is still looking good....not quite 24 hours yet though...haha.  I laughed about sign-out sheet, cookie.  Maybe I should take a picture and post it inside pantry! 👍

Tonight is last car show in town...many in our area...seems to be popular these days....anyway, we have plans to meet friends there but weather is not looking good....rain moving in.  Car owners won't bring their beauties out even if it sprinkles.  We'll see....can still go out to eat. 😋👍

Sweet story about your pet tortoise. I didn't realize they were so popular!!! When we were expecting the big freeze someone posted on next door she was concerned snout keeping hers warm. Mayor who was missing for 18 months was found. Whenever there was a sighting she would go. Not sure where he was found. Speaking of traveling the lite three year old lost and was found seven Miles away. So happy found safe.

Oh Helpless Hannah. Has a non functional email. Hello get another one. Can't get on Whatsap. That's how we communicate with BC. She she depends on me. When she moved here wanted BC and bunco. Found both. I didn't enjoy Bunco she dropped out of BC for a time as she didn't like books. OK then suggest one. She mentioned one she wanted to read. I would not have bought this book but my choice. Doesn't know how to find books. For a time I was doing that. Quit so she has library help her (hold her hand) if I said OK to play would have to take care of tickets etc. Offers to pay half hearted. I don't mind doing but their is a limit!!

Two years ago wanted to attend ladies conference in another state. Found someone to go. Complained she didn't help.with drive etc. No way I wanted to go.

She is outgoing president of ladies group at church. Can't do anything. Someone else did it all. She was figurehead at best.

Cookie: saw SA Cafe is doing first Friday event. I am sure it will be lovely. I think they will do this routine.

I heard a report shipping container ship backlog is a ruse. Other ports. Then I hear truckers. Well I think they are on the road with me.

Hi all.....no news to report.....had plans for tonight but rain spoiled that....no to Car Show which I doubt happened anyway.  Tried to take care of an insurance issue today for my supplemental coverage.  Blood pressure went up just trying to get ahold of a REAL LIVE PERSON!!  Aggravating!!!  Do we have to put up with this type customer service? 🥴 I finally got satisfaction with real connection and said my only complaint with company was phone system!!!  I was given some direct phone numbers. 
Don't mess with a crazy lady wearing a crown!  🤣

kittyfan, sounds like Helpless Hannah is her own worst enemy.  She needs to get out of her own way!!!  Or, maybe she's lonely?  The Cafe sounds wonderful.  My BFF's GS and GF are anxious to go.  Thanks for keeping me posted.  I follow them on FB and get notifications - thankful I don't have to go on FB.  Their pictures are great!

walker, sorry the rain spoiled the Car Show.  I always used to look forwward to going to them.  We went to several that were held in an inside arena which was nice.  We call CS  No Customer Service!  I can sympathize with you.  I wonder if it's a lack of training or are they trained to be slow, rude and uninterested?  Sad for all concerned.  Love your don't mess with a crazy lady wearing a crown! 😂😄 Perfect!

Tootie, I don't think having a tortoise is relagated to any particular state.  We had ours when I lived in CA.  BFF 's G'S got his when she and GS saw one trying to cross and stopped in the street.  She stopped, GS got out of the car and brought him home.  He didn't stay long either about a year..  I guess they wander a lot. I hear they can dig under fences too.  

We are expecting scattered T storms with 84 high. I like them but not the after effects!  DD is going to Henderson- by Las Vegas for 4 days - to visit her long time friend who was here a couple of months ago.  Just me and SIL - very quiet which I will enjoy immensely.  SIL will probably get some well deserved rest.  GS will take her and SIL will pick her up.  Glad I don't have to try and navigate the airport! 😌

I guess because there is no way that a tortoise could live here (unless inside during the winter) I never thought of having one for a pet ... I wonder how long it takes them to dig under a fence??!! 😁 .. enjoy your quiet time at home but it might have a tiny interruption on Saturday for the Big Birthday Bash on Saturday 🥳 ...

kittyfan, poor Helpless Hannah sounds like she wants to be in charge of things but have everyone else do her work ... some people think that being in charge makes them popular and make them likeable ... in her case I think she wants it all but doesn't realize her actions are hurting her ...

walker, ugh! the darn rain ruined it for the last car show of the season ... and then you had to deal with (or try to) insurance customer service ... trying to get through to them is a nightmare!! and like you said, talking to a real person is even worse!!! but glad you get it taken care of and now you have numbers that will help you next time ...

Well, I got my Christmas (and Birthday) shopping started for LG/LS yesterday ... T arget was running a toy promotion (spend so much and you get $$ off) so I took advantage of it ... I spent most of the afternoon looking through toys trying to remember what they would have ... and DD ordered too so had to coordinate with her ... but we got it done!! ... now, I just have to get them some clothes and they will be done!! ... I'm going to get started on the decorations for our Big Bash.
