Good morning friends ... kittyfan, glad you were able to watch church from home ... I still think a lot of people are doing that and with the winter months coming, I like that we can still do that too!! ... I hope the water main repair doesn't take too long.

cookie, I went for a haircut yesterday ... the girl that I've been going to finally got back to me late Saturday night (via text) and said she was out of the shop until Tuesday ... I was to the point that I needed a cut really bad ... so I went to one of those walk-in places (the football game was on so there was no one in there) ... the girl did a fantastic job!! I am very happy ... and guess what? when I was driving there I saw CE's "food truck" parked way in the back of the police station ... no sign of the Velveeta Cake though! (hahaha) I'm hoping that they shipped CE (and his cake) back home and maybe they'll use his truck to practice putting fires out in ... 😁

walker, ugh! your poor DD .. I hope she was able to find her popcorn and wine to enjoy 😄 and that she is able to hop on her plane and get home ... how fun that you got to see your GD score a goal !!

In the words of cookie, it's "Moanday" ... lots to do around the house today ... Have a good day, we'll have another sunny 80 degree day ... pouring and passing.

I love mornings with friends here!  I added laughing emoji because you make me laugh....a good way to start the day!  Good ol' CE his food truck and a Velveeta Cake!  And....using CE's food truck to practice putting fires out..😂😂!    Look out, Tootie, CE may still be in the area trying to get his food truck back!

DH is on his way to airport.  DD has already landed...flight arrived early....love texting for messages.  Her flight was at 5:30am (from Kansas City).   She said she met a nice couple yesterday who were also stuck overnight.  They were all returning on first flight out this morning so they shared a taxi to airport...too early for Uber....4:00am!!!  YAWN!  Someone will be tired today!  

kittyfan, glad you have your extra water...hope it is not off for long.

Happy Monday....haircut day for cookie and Tootie, you found a new good place for yours!  We all know the importance....and appreciate...our hair cutters!!

Good morning. Weather is reporting hottest day of year. Hello late September.

I misplaced a CC I rarely use. Called yo cancel. Thrn found it. No big deal. I have on gas card I use. Had it a few days ago. Couldn't find it. Called to cancel. I definitely need a better system!!!

Dad's Limo service is best. That is a very early airport call.

I have gotten great walk in HCs. Other times not. I had a gal I went to gor years. I didn't know how they could keep doors open and eventually they didn't.

I saw the report on missing girl. So hard for family. Couple that filmed van didn't know their camera was on. I think that location helped. Massive territory.

Spent time this morning updating Pittman Christmas list. Wasn't sure how freeze affected them.

Hello ... walker, how nice that your DD met a couple while she was away and was able to travel to the airport with them .. makes that situation a little easier ...

kittyfan, ugh, the dreaded lost credit card ... it's such a horrible feeling when you think you have lost them so we call immediately ... hopefully, you'll be able to get that taken care of ... did they order new ones for you?? I saw about that missing girl ... and I really don't think they will find the boyfriend alive either ...

cookie, hope you were able to stay cool ... I'm sure with your haircut you feel a little cooler??

I have my physical early tomorrow morning so I won't be on at my regular time ... I'll post when I get home.

Hi there.....right behind you, Tootie.  Good luck with physical appointment tomorrow.  kittyfan, it is so upsetting to lose or misplace a credit card.  Happens to the best of us!   

DD said that she and other couple met in hotel lobby for taxi at 4:00am....NO TAXI !  And, Uber said too early for them.  They went to desk clerk....WE NEED TO MAKE OUR FLIGHT!!!  Desk clerk ended up driving them back to airport.  Nothing is easy.

Had an eye check up this morning....my left eye is my weak eye...one to watch I guess.  Also, glaucoma in my family so doctor likes to monitor that too.  Good for another 6 months!

cookie, are you feeling 5 lbs. lighter?  A good haircut can do that for you (mentally anyway).

Tootie, I keep reading about the missing girl and read that they found a body that is probably hers 😥  The boyfriend has disappeared.  He seems guilty to me.  If he didn't do anything, why disappear???   So sad for them all.

walker, I feel at least 5 pounds lighter (too bad it's only mentally!)  And Tootie, it's much cooler as well 😊  It was 102 here yesterday 🥵  Isn't nice to get a haircut?! Glad you found a good one at the walk in place.

Hope your physical went well Tootie, Miss you in the AM.  walker, take good  care of your eyes: glad the doc is watching it.

Interesting you chose scalloped potatoes for S, cookie.  Yesterday I was thinking that, since Fall is here, it is time to change up my menus....and fixing scalloped potatoes is one to do.  I got an easy and good recipe here awhile ago....need to look it up.

walker, what a pain for your DD but glad she is home ... lucky for them that the clerk could drive them to the airport ... what a horrible taxi service ... glad you had a good eye appointment ... I have to get checked for gaucoma too ... oh yumm! it's scalloped potato season ...

kittyfan, I know what you mean about doctor offices calling back ... it's so hard to get ahold of any office it seems ... you have to jump through hoops just to talk to a real person ... press this button, say this ... aahhh!! hope you can get through.

Our temp today will be 75 ... we're at 65 now with a beautiful breeze ... I'll send some your way cookie and kittyfan ...

Tootie, wow...lost 7 lbs!  Must be more "running" with LG now!  Ha!  Congrats on that loss....and good report on physical.  Always a good feeling to hear that and know you are DONE FOR A YEAR!!  Stay well!  Keep doing what you are doing!  

Weather is cloudy and chilly here.  Guess I will layer up when I go to GS's cross-country meet later.  

Cool weather makes me ready for comfort foods....and my comfort sheets!!  I have those polar fleece sheets that are the TSV today on Q.  LOVE THEM!  I am assuming (hoping) quality is the same as I thought the Malden Mills company was sold.  (Just checked...they are now Imported😟...used to be made in USA.)

Bye for now....did some chores this morning so I can have guilt-free UB!! 😁
