kittyfan, your stories about them and their food brought up memories ... growing up, I had a friend with several siblings ... whenever we had any kind of food event (whether at school or church) they were always the first ones in line and always took heaping plates of food ...

Good morning ~  

I am now officially vaxxed with the first shot  It only took about 5 seconds and done!  They had things very organized.  No problems so far.  I may be the only one in my family getting the shots besides my oldest DS who had to be vaxxed for work.

Welcome to summer!  HOT and more HOT!  We will be 96 and rising.  The heat index will be 100+.  I am going to the Lab again this morning.  Doc's office called them and called me to let me know it is now settled.  Fingers crossed

kittyfan you are going to have one huge book!  All these characters with their strange ways.  Some people sure have a different take on things.  Here's to an entree at the Cafe with your name on it!  The Buzzy Bee special?

Good morning friends ... glad your vaccine went well cookie ... one down and one to go! not preaching, but you'll be glad you got it ... and I hope that the lab has all the paperwork for you this morning ... yes, I'm still in the clouds ... LS is so cute and tiny ... I'm trying to remember LG being that small.

walker, I know you mentioned your GS/GD are starting school tomorrow ... I'm just curious, do you know if the schools are making it mandatory for them to wear masks?? I know there's a big controversy here about whether or not the kids should wear masks ... a lot of the parents are up in arms ... some want them and some don't.

We're very dark here this morning and I can hear the rumble ... heavy storms are moving in this morning ... we are at 75 now and our high will be 85 hot and humid degrees ... ugh!! but, I guess I shouldn't complain because you ladies are in the 100's ... 🥵

We had that wind last night, Tootie!  Today more heat and humidity with storms.  Summertime...summertime, eh?  I need to get to store early!  HHH Day!

cookie, glad you passed through first shot with no problem...good for you.  Now, if you have successful lab visit today....it's a good week! 👍  I like your suggestion of a Buzzy Bee Special for kittyfan at Cafe.  

Our high school must be open already because I heard an early bus.  GS and GD do go tomorrow.  I "think" they are required to wear masks.  That is a long day with masks on!

Hopefully, they can take them off at recess.  I have mixed feelings about these masks and think decisions to wear or not should be left to parents.  Keep your kids healthy with rest, good food,wash hands, etc. and keep them home if sick!!!

Well, if I am going to get to store early, I better get some breakfast.  See you all later.

Hello ... we've got another month before the school buses start whizzing by ...

I can't keep my days straight ... I got all our garbage/recycling ready to take out to the totes and told DH we had to get them to the curb .... I couldn't figure out why no one else had theirs out .... 🤷‍♀️ and then the 💡 went off .... tomorrow is Thursday, our garbage pickup is on Friday ... 🤦‍♀️  I even did all my shredding of paperwork to go into the recycling ...

HAHA, Tootie!!  Thanks for reminder ....tomorrow is my garbage day!!!  I think you lost track of days with LS excitement!  But, truth be known...we have all had that happen with different things.  At least you remembered before you hauled things to the curb!  Well, now you are all ready for Friday!

We went out to dinner tonight with friends to walk around our local car show.  Dinner was fun but car show was a bust!  Rain was threatening so people with classic cars won't bring their shiny beauties out.  Bummer!  Oh well, try again next month.  Can't control the weather.

Good morning ~

Tootie, please feel free to join the club of forgetting what day it is.  There are more of us than the ones that don't 😄  SInce I've retired, I cannot remember what day it is either.  Very thankful for my little tear off calendar - with kitties on each page/date. Right next to my computer

Too bad about the car show walker- at least you got to enjoy dinner with friends.   I always did enjoy walking around those gorggeous cars.  I don't blame the owners either - no rain please,those cars require a lot of work and care.

kittyfan, how's the book coming along?  You will  more than likely end up with a tome! 😊  Haven't seen many school buses either.  I know there is a conflict over masking though.

I think I may have had a side effect of the shot - I was extremely tired in the afternoon.  It may have been the heat - who knows?  Another hot one with a triple digit heat index.  Today is Thursday - trash day here - hey, there is hope!!!

cookie, did you get the one or two dose vaccine? I do know some people who had side effects from the first one.

Happy Thursday!  Day before Friday!  You are right, cookie, join the forgetful club, Tootie, and days of week are #1.  When you retire, everyday is Saturday or Whateverday! Ha!

I have heard of reactions like yours from the shot, cookie.

Hope you are less tired today but heat zaps energy as well.

School buses are running!  Went out for paper this morning and a neighbor passed with her son going to bus stop.  This seems like an early start to me.  I think the 3A's go next week.
