Hey, friends!!  👋👋  I am sitting here too watching opening ceremonies.....No Wow is right, Tootie!  This is so BLAH....no people in stands....why did they have to hold it like this?  Bet it has really low viewers watching.

cookie, good one with "Buddy Burgers"...they were really good!!  Glad you got the email message.  It will be interesting to see what your doc says next week about vaccination.  You are doing good so far without it.  We have friends who refuse to get it.

Good morning ~

Sad to hear that the Olympics have no wow factor.  Unfair to all the athletes who were involved as well as the spectators who cheer them on.  I have never been one to watch but do feel for all the dissappointed people.  It really should have been canceled until next year for safer conditions.

kittyfan, I am still being cautious and wearing a mask.  This new variant is supposed to be worse as you said.  Why didn't we have this same problems years ago?  Makes me wonder.

walker, glad you enjoyed your "Budy Burgers" I read that Chicago is very hot.  Hope you are staying cool. We will be 97 today.  UGH!  It is hot all over the US!  🔥🔥🔥

Good morning friends ... I did end up watching all of the Opening Ceremony last night ... the only thing that I really enjoyed was the 1,800 drones that they did in the shape of Earth ... now, I'm anxious to see how the actual events turn out.

We'll have a 83 degree day and the humidity is coming back ... these past couple of days it's been so nice without it .. oh well, it's all up to Mother Nature!!

By the way, the light in my brain just went on and I remember that you did have Covid, cookie, and could not receive vaccine for a few months after.  You are a survivor!! 
Doctor will probably recommend shot though especially with new variant going around.  Nothing simple these days!

I turned off the show last night, Tootie.  Guess I missed the best part. 

No news from me....haircut this morning.  I don't like going on Saturdays but it is hard getting appointments with her due to her limited schedule.  I hope she increases hours when her daughters get back in school.

Hi kittyfan.....hope you got email....and, wondering if you have heard anything from FHG (Arlene?).  Sometimes her messages pop up here on past pages and I think of her.

Good morning

I hear very little from FJG. She lost her beloved dog due to cancer. Adopted another that wasn't a .match made in heaven and know has another. When she got her first day she had window down. Fog jumped our well she was found always drama with her. She was on FB a lot posting about end of times. Not now so she may pop in.

Yes Cookie---you had Covid and have antibodies. I don't think they knie how long. But your dr will give you better advice then we can!!


I learned the food truck lady was only 55. She passed from Covid. She wasn't vaccinated. Her family says they will now. Nurse Brenda had been heavily involved in shot clinics. She said they were doing "pop ups" at events, churches etc. They had such low response that was stopped. Readily available now at pharmacy. Not so early on. They tracked numbers and this county was much lower than Austin and they have upped their restrictions. All we can do is be cautious

Hi friends......it is a sauna outside here!  Went for haircut and back home....that's it.  I miss not being out for my walks but this humidity is too much.

kittyfan, glad you got the email.  And, I remember FHG and her drama!  But, she had interesting tales to tell.  Yes, always something!

Hello ... our humidity kicked up and I had to give in and turn the A/C on ... I usually try and hold out as long as I can because I would rather have fresh air .. but, it was just warm air coming in ... ugh!! and I can't imagine walking in it ... 🥵🥵

kittyfan, how sad that the Food Truck lady lost her life to Covid ... and I'm not going to even say anything about getting/not getting the vaccine because "to each his own" ... there are so many different stories about it on the media I guess you just have to do what you think is best.

We got all ready to have chicken on the grill and it started to downpour (which wasn't predictied) ... so, Plan B ... cook inside ... good, but not the same! (I was going to scrap that idea and hold off until tomorrow but we're expecting more storms tomorrow)

kittyfan ~ sorry to hear FHG lost her beloved dog and the problems with the new one.  She always did have interesting stories and a lot of drama.  I do think of her and her funny cartoons she always posted.  Hope she is doing well.  Sorry to hear about the Food Truck lady.

Tootie, you sure are having the weather ~ Plan B is always a good thing to have.  Sounds like Texas weather!  I know it is hot without going outside - humidity is still lingering and you are right - you don't want to move, even slightly, in humidity.  😓

So walker.......... did you get HHH after your haircut???😊  I got my share yesterday and that was enough.  Just going from the car to the door gives you a new hairstyle!

Finished cleaning up my kitchen and stopped in our SCC kitchen.....good to see my friends!  Tootie, we had chicken tonight too.....inside....tonight would have been worse at grill besides I usually don't make DH grill two nights in a row.  I fixed this easy recipe of chicken breasts, red potatoes and green beans in a dish sprinkled with olive oil and Italian Seasoning....always good!!!  One dish meal..👍.

cookie.....haha....yes....the HHH appeared...ugh!!  I looked one way when I walked out of salon and another way by the time I got home.  This humidity is awful!!!  I don't wear the wilted look very well.  Ha!

OK....SCC kitchen clean and ready for coffee in the morning!!  See you then.....rest well.
