Good morning ~

It's about time!  You don't realize how much you count on electornic devices!  I noticed my iphone had some internet stufff so I tried the computer and YAAAY!!!!  We'll see.  It was the provider since it was fixed without GS.  GS told me that they had an outage once due to a car that ran over one of the Providers boxes and threw out the whole block!  

I haven't read any posts so I will catch up later.  I did see kittyfan's last post and am feeling so sad for the Cafe folks.  Ahhhh, Chatty Cathy wasn't so chatty 😊  Something about bubbles in Tootie's basement???  

I am just going to catch up with the paperwork that accumulated while the internet was out. No UB's today - had way too many in the last 4 days!  Never though I'd say that 😂

So glad to be back, I missed each one of you and the laughs and fun around here!

kittyfan, glad you had a quiet time with ChattyCathy ... oh my gosh, 4 feet of water at the Cafe ... I hope they will be able to get up and running soon ... so many places here too are hurting for workers ... our state is still giving extra money to those on unemployment (and many are making more than they would if they worked) so they are really not in any hurry to go out and work!! it's a sad society right now.

I'll take your UBs today, cookie.  I did not sleep well last night so can use extra ones.  I better charge up as we are going to GS's baseball game later.  I could fall asleep in the stands...ha!

kittyfan, that water in Cafe (SA) sounds bad...sure hope they can repair and recover.  Bad timing with Cafe near  you closed as well.  Yum...Key Lime Pie!  

Worker shortages all around it seems....what a shame...you are right, Tootie, about "sad society"...it sure is.....real messed up one!  DH calls all this extra "free" money...."sit on your butt..bucks!"  😖

We have had heavy rain all day long ... lots of basements and roads are flooded ... thankfully, our basement is dry! ... right now we're in a lull but just got a warning for a thunderstorm that is moving in ...

Good afternoon

Home from the city. I seemed to have irritated many drivers based on the honks in my direction!

My friend and I did lunch and thrnni headed home. She said she had heard from a mutual friend. I hadn't heard from him in some time do was happy to get an update

My dominos group have a long standing tradition of celebrating Augudu BDs st cheesecake factory. I have attended but no plans to attend. Well COVID numbers are taking a big jump so they aren't doing this. I can't do August games due to TS. So it remains to be seen if they will gather. We haven't gathered with high numbers before. We are all vaccinated but that isn't a total guarantee. I am thinking masks will be a fashion accessory for some time

Feels so good to be back to my usual routine - Q forums first!  I did get a chance to review the missed posts - good for the soul ???  I did notice that the main page sign in was used - works for me.  

Oh the horror - I was using the bathroom and a small snake or large worm was slithering by the door!  Grabbed paper towels and stomped it but it slithered out from under.  Finally stomped hard and no movement but alive.  By that time he was close to the toilet and that's where I dropped it. (picked up with paper towel)  Sorry but no one was awake here and I had to tell someone!  What are friends for?

Not my picture, but this is what it looked like - 6" long with a head!  I don't like snakes or worms!!!  Hope it doesn't plug up the septic 😯

Tootie and walker, take care of the cholesterol - loved the doc's 5  pounds  comment.  Fortunately, I have low cholesterol.  Makes up for all the other things I am blessed with 

Tootie, thought of you when I was lifting the detergent jug and your clean, sudsy LR floors.  Our LR  floor is not!  Dog entry in the door.  Be my luck I would slip and do some fancy figure skating if I spilled the jug!  I Love Lucy in the works 😂  

kittyfan, hope your battery issue is resolved.  Sorry about the Chatty Four.  At least they left and you all enjoyed the book.  I agree with you and Tootie, too many people are depending on money, provided by the state, which pays more than working for it.  

walker, everything has and still is going up in price.  Have you noticed people stocking up again?

Good morning friends ... yes cookie, it's so good to see your name when I get onto the boards!! ... a sign of "normalcy" 😁 OMG cookie!! I really don't know what I would do if I EVER saw a snake (big or small) in the house!!!! I don't think I could EVER try to stomp on it and/or pick it up!! I know you said that no one else was up but .... YIKES!! I think I would have just screamed ... and if it was at the doorway I would have been stuck in the bathroom ... and if he started slithering into the bathroom?? I just don't know what I would have done!! 😲

kittyfan, I snickered at your comment about irritated drivers honking at you ... it's "all about me" and I noticed that drivers (at least around here) have gotten pretty nasty on the road ... I always say "they're trying to get nowhere fast" ... our numbers are climbing a little bit here (from those that can't/won't get vaccinated) ... (not preaching as I'm sure they have their reasons) 😏 I agree about masks being around for a while ... and with the new variant, who knows if it will affect the vaccinated people or not ... I guess we proceed with caution ... glad you were able to get caught up with your friends.

walker, I like your DH's "sit on your butt .. bucks!" ... how true!!

We are supposed to have a rain free day, but it sure doesn't look like it .. yesterday we got 4 inches of rain ... tomorrow is DH's birthday so I'm planning on having a cookout today ... hopefully, the weather cooperates ...

Tootie said it all....my thoughts exactly!!!  Guess I won't complain about ants anymore....ha!   My family would have to call 911 for a cardiac arrest.  What a woman you are, cookie!!!  Mama Mia!

kittyfan, when those honking drivers go by just give them a big smile and wave....that should drive them nuts!  HA!  I always say....they must have to go to the bathroom..🤣.

GS's baseball game was really good and weather was perfect for watching....grandma doesn't like to sweat..haha.  GS scored once, played as pitcher for awhile and then outfield.  His team won too!  👏👏👏 

Got home late from game and fixed a new quick recipe...Taco Pizza Squares....I had prepped the meat so just had to roll out pizza dough, add sauce and get into oven.  Really good!!!  DH liked it too.  I should post recipe.

Better get breakfast as I have a long way to get to Church of the Couch (getting too used to it...😆).  Have a nice day...especially at your house, Tootie, with celebration (and no rain) for DH....Happy Birthday to him early.  Enjoy!

Went to church today. Heard a long story about a dead battery. And then first lady with dead battery at church had to recount her experiences. I was in the middle--things happen on threes. But both have DH to deal with issues. My saga remains mine

I shared that our pastor is expecting number five. We have done for each but boy this time has taken a leap. I didn't see the list--full page but fin as l item dining room table! The reality is the house is too small and one lady m r ntioned buying them a house. I don't know her status but really!! My heart is not in this. Silly games. Argh.

I checked in with Krisren at the Cafe yesterdsy. She said next month. Down to plumbing issues snd electrician. She sent me some pics.

Came home from church for nap. Meeting after church followed by shower meeting. Would prefer to donate to gift.

Hi kittyfan, if I understand correctly, do you have a shower everytime the pastor has another child coming?? ... I would think that they would have all they need with that many kids ... maybe a couple new outfits or diapers would be nice ... but a dining room table?? buying a house?? ... it's kind of tough when you don't have someone to help you out ... I hope you were able to get your battery taken care of.

walker, thanks for the birthday wishes for DH ... We ended up having a warm dry day ... we were able to have our Birthday Cookout as planned and spent the day out on the patio ... LG had so much fun exploring int he backyard!!
