Weatherman (lady...ha) says rain moving in for next few days!  We need it badly.  Tootie, I just about laughed out loud and lost my coffee about your DH watering his lawn.

Yes, Mr. Walker is the same guy here!  😂

Another laugh about lawns....last night our friends talked about putting new sod in their backyard.  They have been watering it a lot and have an out of town trip coming up.  They are concerned about leaving the lawn....I said.."here's your guy! (DH)"....LOL ..🤣

We did have a nice time last night....restaurant was packed but we had a corner to ourselves.  Seems like everyone has had enough of being home!  Sadly, one of our friends is now dealing with Alzheimer's.  Her husband is such a great guy.  He said...."she took care of me for 50 years and now I will take care of her."  😢

cookie, that quilt you started with fabric from your DD's dresses would have been so special.  Too bad you can't finish it.

I just heard about that condo collapse too.  It looks like a bomb went off.  Awful!

Better get breakfast and friend gave us some fresh baked strawberry muffins last night....yum.

walker, I am still enjoying the chuckles about the Grass Guys. 😁 Don't you and Tootie have sprinkler systems or is it just Grass Guy thing?  Either way, it's funny.  I remember MissMadi's DH was a fanatic as well.  

I read that the condo may have collapsed from the weakened re-bar as it was on the ocean side, and sea moisture could have seeped through over the years.  Sad for so many.

Manicure and errands this morning.  Another hot - 96+ day.  Humidity Hair day!  Recieved a letter from my  personal alert system that they were changing to 4G at no cost to me.  Went on line and filled in the info but it wouldn't submit.  Tried several times, but no go  So now I get to call them.  Rather do things on line.  They do have good CS though.

Good morning friends ... cookie, things are so much easier (most of the time) when you can do it online ... but, sometimes I guess there can be quirks to deal with ... hopefully you can get your upgrade taken care of! ... we don't have a sprinkler system in the lawn ... that would be DH!! he sets the sprinkler out ... adjusts it, moves on to something else ...  adjusts it, moves on to something else ... and repeat!! 😁

walker, sorry to hear that your friend has alzheimer's ... that is such a sad disease ... I laughed at your story about your DH being the Lawn Care Guy for your friends sod ... I'm sure that grass would be as green as ever when they get back!!

kittyfan, hope all is well with you and the TS ...

We did get another bike ride in last night and saw two deer cross in front of us on the path ... I don't think we'll get to ride tonight, we're going to be 85 with high humidity today.

Thoughts to those in FL ... I didn't hear about the re-bar story ... that's scary!

Rainy day here....tomorrow too, I guess.  I won't wish it away because we need it!  No sprinkler system here either, cookie.  It is called the DH Sprinkler System....same type Tootie has....😂.  

The story about that condo in Miami is so tragic!  So many people unaccounted for yet. That is interesting about the  re-bar and effect of weather.  I thought I heard something about on-going lawsuits in building?? Shoddy construction??  (not sure on that) No high-rise condos for me...no high-rise anything!   I have a friend who rents a condo in a high-rise every winter....on the Gulf side.  She is probably nervous now.  

Tootie, how is your DM doing?  I hope she is making progress and working "with" therapists instead of "against".

Inside day today....good for doing laundry.....cookie, enjoy your manicure....I laugh (and relate) to Humidity Hair.

Oh the fellas and their lawns!!! My guy came and mowed. Came early. He had said 2. Glad he came earlier. Cooler in shade. I watched him for a few minutes. Fancy mower. Gave him a check. Really nice young man. Glad I found him.

The FL event is so sad. What devastation. Hard for the loved ones I can't imagine living in a high rise. No thanks

I intended to ho to TS. Any excuse to skip!! Need to do lab work next week.

Feels so good to have the lawn mowed but feel for the guys that do it in this heat!   SIL has a real fancy riding mower and loves it, so our yards get done a lot!  Boys and their toys.......  

The Condo collapse is even worse.  Now I hear that there is a fire in the basement and the firefighters are having difficulty extinguishing it.  I alos would never live in a high rise -never!  Feel for all the residents.

Tootie, how is your DM doing?  Hope she is adjusting to her therapy better. This is a difficult time for both of you.  

Another Humidity Hair day - 98.  My hair didn't even make it home!  Went with a style, came home with stick straight hair - blown all over with the breeze too.  Went to pick up my 3 prescriptions and the lady said $525.00. 😣  After I got up from the floor, I asked her if they were encased in solid gold!!!  No, just a 90 day supply of my most expensive meds ( I am in the donut hole).  I told her the label on my bottle states No 90 day refills on purpose!  They were very nice and apologized and will fix it.  I will go back this morning.

Good morning friends ... yikes cookie! the price of meds is ridiculous!! and for something that you really need ... glad they were able to change the amount of pills for you ... I can't imagine working out in the heat either ... walking from the car into a store is bad enough ... sorry, that you got a new hairdo that you didn't like 😂😁 that humidity will do it everytime!!

DM is doing better but is still her own worst enemy ... the therapists are done with her and I just hope that she continues on with her exercises.

I didn't hear about the fire in the condo in FL ... I saw a video of the workers digging through the rubble ... so sad!! I think people are going to think twice about living/staying in highrise places now.

We'll have an 86 degree day with rain ... although it is supposed to clear up by noon ... we'll see.

Happy Saturday to you!  Big time Humidity Hair Day here!

Air is really heavy outside.  I will be staying inside with A/C....except for quick trip to DD's house later.

Tomorrow DD is taking GD to a camp out of state...first time for her but she has friends going too.  DD will stay near the camp for the week.  I wrote different cards for GD each day so I need to take those over.  I know going off to camp is a good thing for many kids.  Grandma is having a hard time with it though....😢.

cookie, the cost of those prescriptions is awful!!  Something needs to be done about that!!!   I am thankful that I only have one medication to get for BP....cost is minimal.  But, speaking of costs, DH had physical with blood test back in May.  Last week we got a statement from insurance company that blood test was $960!!!😳

DH called because we thought this was a mistake...nope!

Mama Mia....Why?  Ridiculous!  Thank heavens for insurance coverage....so far we are not being billed.

Tootie, hope your DM keeps up with her exercises...not easy when someone isn't making you do it.  Maybe LG could help? 😂

Sad news continues about that condo collapse in FL.  I did not hear about the fire either.  It must be so awful to have loved ones trapped there.  They need miracles...🙏.

kitttyfan, stay in and stay cool too....TS will Turn without you....😁.

Hello ... oh walker, what a cute idea to write an everyday note for your GD while away at camp ... she will have so much fun and it makes it a little easier that she has friends there too ... part of grandma will be there through your notes!! 😊

Hi friends......following you again, Tootie!  We are in order here!  Ha!  It was a warm and humid day here too...no walk for me.  Humidity Hair would turn into HORRIBLE Hair!🤣

I did go see GD and gave her the "Camp Mail"....hope she has a good time.  She is just growing up so fast....WAH...my little GD...not so little.  It is harder than seeing my GSs grow up.  😢 Life goes on.....

More bad storms in Chicago area today....fortunately again, south of me and around the bend with Indiana.  Dodged another stormy bullet!
