walker, I have to agree that chores are somewhat easier since it's just the two of us here ... and some days I have more time to take UB's ...

cookie, feel bad for you....being sick is bad enough....with DD sick too...😖😫.  DD probably sick and mad that she is missing work!!  Hoping you both GET WELL SOON.....or at least start feeling better.  Getting your taste and smell back ...even a little...is good sign.

Send that TX rain here.....last night we finally got some light rain....not enough to help.  Starting to heat up like TX here too....80's and near 90 over weekend! 🥵

Walker: how long is your travel to graduation? Lady from TS in FL visiting. First time since covid. They normally fid BDs and Christmas. Three visits to none in 18 months

Heavy rain and a tornado in next county. Didnt affect me. Saw flooding but no damage reports

Hi there......sure has been a funny weather day here...very cloudy, chilly...windy....then sun pops out and it heats up.

These are the days you don't know how to dress.

Glad you did not have that tornado and heavy rain, kittyfan.  I am concerned about the bad weather that seems to go through the south and Gulf Coast area almost daily since we will travel through next week.

We will take three days traveling down to FL stopping to visit friends in Panama City Beach.  Then five days at DS's for graduation time.  Two day express trip home. We have not been down in over a year...usually make at least two trips or they come north once.

DDC opens tomorrow morning....oh boy...if I am late here I'll be trying to get him 🐕‍🦺 unpacked and settled in for a few days. 🤞 😆

Tootie, do you get to visit your DM in rehab?

Good morning ~  Feeling better this morning - still coughing some.  Tired of being tired and not wanting to do anything!  We didn't get the heavy storm yesterday either.  Today will be a sunny 82 with no rain predicted.  Go figure this crazy weather.

Hope the weather cooperates for your trip walker.  I have seen some horrific pictures of flooding - up to 18'!!!  Your trip sounds like a great get together for your family and friends.  Yay on DDC opening!  A regular B&B for dogs!😄

Tootie, I am still smiling over your "Rain Dance" 💗😊  Hope your DM is cooperating - the more cooeration, the faster she can go home?  

kittyfan - how is the Cafe doing?  All this water must have put a damper on their new one's construction.  Good wishes to them!

DM is doing a little better but still not cooperating with her therapy like she should ... they told her yesterday that she has to do better or she will end up in long-term care ... that scared her because she wants to come home. I know the therapy is painful but she's gotta do it ... We can have a weekly (inside) visit starting next week (she is still under Covid quarantine protocol)  We're going to schedule a window visit this weekend.

We'll have another nice sunny 77 degree day ... Have a good day ... pouring and passing ... and throwing a bone to Buddy!

DDC now open!  Ol' Buddy is here.  DIL and boys dropped him off on way to school.  Boys were all sad that they would not see him for three days.  Ha....if things don't go well...could be sooner!  But, I am sure all will be fine and everyone will have a good weekend....especially DS and DIL!

cookie, very happy you are starting to feel better.  Stick with the program....food, water...UBs! 😁 Isn't it funny that sometimes when you are busy you want someone to say....you must do nothing and rest for a few days...sounds great but gets old quick, eh?

Tootie, I do feel bad for your DM....hope she decides to grin and bear it....and "break out of there" soon.  I am sure visits with you ...even through window...will help.  

kittyfan, hearing about lumber shortages all over affecting housing.  Hope this does not affect remodel of Cafe.  But, that is probably more interior work.

Hello ... hope everyone is having a good day ... we are having a very warm 81 degree day ... time to get the AC cranked!

I got a phone call message from DM's Rehab ... a staff member tested positive for Covid. Now only outdoor/window visits.  I guess I thought that all the staff would be vaccinated. They do test DM 2/3 times a week and I did not mention to her about someone on staff having it ... she doesn't need that to worry about.

walker, how is the DDC working out??

This morning had a dts apt. My previous dr had left. Wrnt back yl previous even though she had moved to another location. Rrally liked her. It had been a long time. Of course more things to take care of. Joy of getting older!!!! My ear had been bothering me so got that then care of. Had lost weight which I knew based on clothes but less than I thought,!!! I needed to drop a bit.

Had a bit of trouble finding office. First spot was wrong address. Went to different spot. Checked my phone. Said to walk. I couldn't see entrance. Finly drove around parked and found door.

We had a conversation about masks. I had my card which I gave u l the nurse to use yo update my chart. She said they are required to wear them for a while longer.

I left drs office to pick up a cheesecake. I had ordered one over the weekend. Ready to be picked up after noon. By the time I drove there it was time. This venue is not convenient. Well I spoke to a young lady. She didn't have a clue. Finally went to talk we ith someone else. My cheesecake was delivered. It wasn't cheap. I would have gotten one at the Cafe but since they are remodeling Kristen said she was spending time in SA helping with the new location. My other option has cut their hours. I know it is a dmsll family operation. I wish them well. But I found this option. Tomorrow I go to play train. We will meet and enjoy lunch. Tomorrow it is hamburgers. We play a few rounds thrn it is desert/,pie time. This month cheesecake was requested. Hopefully next month I csn pick up something from the Cafe. I saw on FB that the wait in SA was 1.5 hours. That was even early. The second location looks lovely. But the word id out. Great cause super food. Ready for my location to open again.

Walker: laughed about the 3 A's missing Mr Buddy. Hope he is a good guest.

Next week is my turn at TS. Didn't go this week. I often go on Fridays but not this week. We changed our train schedule to accommodate chatty Kathy. She is planning to attend. I need to prepare myself!!!
