Hi there......checking in and saw your message, Tootie.  Brings back memories!  My DM was like that too..not cooperative with therapy.  Worse yet....my DM never liked wearing pants!!!  She was always a dress or skirt lady...QM definitely!!  Always her way and have to say she always looked nice.   I remember buying a couple pairs of pants for her to wear in therapy.  I don't think she ever wore them.  But, she did become a "little" more cooperative.

Just encourage her.....the more she does the sooner she will go home!   

No news.....did buy flowers but very disappointed in selection this year.  I should have gone to a better nursery.

Oh well, got some....will look again for others.  

See you all tomorrow.  Kitchen....never closed....just dimming lights...😉.

Good morning ~  oh no - not much cooperation with DM Tootie?  Hope she becomes more cooperative.  Window visits work well.  

Love the QM pants story walker.  QM was definitely a lady!  Hope you are able to get gas for your trip.  I see lines on the news.  Brings back memories of years ago.  

I am still coughing and tired.  DD and SIL went to the clinic yesterday and got tested for COVID and had her BP/ Heart rate checked.  No news yet.  She will be staying home again today.  She looks like I feel - dragged  through the rough range.  My bigest problem is my mental health - feeling  down.  It's always something............

Another QM story for you and pants....I took her on trip to Ireland and suggested she bring pants for possible chilly or damp weather.  Reluctantly, she did buy a pair ....in blue...her favorite color.  I think she wore them once or twice.  Ha! Then she threw them away in Ireland!  😂 RIP QM...you were quite the lady!

CUTE, cookie!!!  QM would get a chuckle out of the tribute...haha!  A week from today she will have been gone for 5 years.  Hard to believe! Remember all my trips back and forth?   I miss her everyday and her wisdom.  Great mom and lady!  Some of her sayings...1, 2, 3...UP (when she needed to get up)....One more for out the door (go to bathroom before leaving)....Hope for the Best and Cope with the Rest......(I say that one now.)

When she passed I gave away a lot of nice clothes....no pants though!!  HA!

She would have enjoyed the SCC too!  Hope your DM is doing ok with therapy, Tootie.

Last night went ro Ascension services at church. So few people. I. Would have stayed home except for duties

This morning headed to TS. Very busy. Arrived to find my partner. We were eating lunch. Up comes Ms Priss. Butts into our conversation and takes over!!! Some people. She is a real drama queen.

Thursday had to go to PO. Had a certified letter. Really just mail me forms. Stress me out to wonder what and deal with gearing there. Need to complete and mail. Not even postage pd return!

Tomorrow I have nothing planned. Sunday after church will pick up from fireman's fundraiser. Having Cafe withdrawal!!!

Good morning ~  Yes, we all have fond memories of QM.  Laughing at her clothes that you gave away - no pants!  😂 Your mom was a gem walker. 💖

I have bad news - DD and SIL tested Positive for COVID and took me for a test yesterday - I am also Positive.  I now have to call my docs since I have appointments for the next two weeks.  Also, the nail salon and others.  I am still tired and coughing - not a dry cough - just enough to clear my throat..  Don't think I have a fever but will have DD take my temp with her gun to the forehead instead of my old fashioned ones.  SIL is asymptomatic and is staying home for others safety.  I will remain a Lounge Lizard, taking extended UB's.  That gets tiring too. I also cannot smell or taste much of anything.now. I am going to have to read up and find out more about recovery.  I actually feel okay just tired.  

Tootie, how is your DM doing with Therapy?  Hope she is doing well.  

kittyfan, sorry about your DQ - Drama Queen - she sounds like a real PITA!!!!

Good morning friends ... oh no cookie!! ... now you will really have to take advantage of those UB's ... just watch that your symptoms don't become too bad for you ... sending "speedy recovery wishes" to you and your DD/SIL ... do they do contact tracing in TX? (get names of people you may have been in contact with to see if they have Covid)

kittyfan, sorry that you have to deal Ms. Priss ... don't you wish you could just tell her to be quiet for once?? haha! but really, it makes it so uncomfortable and uneasy when someone like that is around ... is the Firemans Fundraiser a chicken dinner??

walker, I do remember you going back and forth to visit QM ... and I also remember you telling us about her saying "Hope for the Best and Cope with the Rest" ... I use that phrase now (I don't think she would mind 😁 ...)

DM is doing ok with therapy but giving some resistance ... if she doesn't like the way they want her to do something she gets mad ... I talked to her yesterday and told her she as to be able to do what they tell her or they won't let her come home ... she really doesn't listen to me or my DB but has great faith in my DS ... (he's been on the phone with her a lot!!) ... we'll see what today brings.
