Sending sunshine to everyone!!!  Enough winter...going to start my Spring countdown soon.  Just heard on news that we have had 9 days in a row with snow and 12 days in a row below zero.  Today we will be high of 20.  But, next week heat wave...30's.  Every winter is different....this is one for the books down south!  Tootie, you are right about these snow plow drivers....pile ups at end of driveway are the worst....big chunks and all!  Good of your DH to clear out the fire hydrant!!!

cookie, so glad to hear from you....good thing you have power...sorry about other water problems but, so far, nothing you can't deal with, eh?  Did your DD close her shop?  I did hear by next week TX will be back to 60's/70's.  Never would think you would deal with our northern-type winter weather.  Once is enough too!  We have friends whose daughter lives  in TX.  She reports ice in her pool and they were sleeping by fireplace because power was going in and out.

News is showing a furniture store owner in TX who opened his store for people without power....how nice...good citizen!  Fed them too.

All for now....paper just came....need more coffee.

Had to jump in for the "U".  We now have a boil water warning if we need to drink it.  Uh oh, I just rank a 16 oz glass of water this morning.  Oh well, too late.  By the time I fill up the huge pot for water to boil, it will be tomorrow.  Not much water pressure at all.

Nothing is open around here other than the local grocery store, but who wants to drive on ice???  Using the bathroom is a definite joy as well.  Complain, complain, complain. 

Back to hybernation with my Kindle.  Stay safe and warm ladies.

Tough times and the saying is so true that...you don't know what you have until it is gone.....running water, heat, electricity, etc.  Think I better get extra water at store today.  Sorry I can't deliver....OH WAIT...QA can!!  🤣🤣

I could air drop it since I can't land without skidding into New Mexico!

HAHA....Tootie, we need a QA trip don't we?  (MissMadi...long story but in our crazier times I had this airplane and we called it Queen Air....it took us on many adventures....don't let it scare you away....we aren't as nutty as it seems....well, maybe a little...HA...no, we just like having fun....call it an escape from reality!)

Believe it or not we are having a nice day....sun is out, no wind....I guess mid-20's so I took a walk...it was really nice.  

Thinking of all the problems the winter storm caused TX.  Still no word from kittyfan since Sunday.  🥴

I am making Tuna Burgers and Tomato Soup for dinner.  Lent begins....no sacrifice for us...we like fish.  DH really does not mind Lent because I make more egg salad sandwiches too on Fridays.   Growing up it used to be...WHAT?? FISH?? Oh...wonderful fish sticks...ha!  Tuna Noodle Casserole,etc....memories.

Hello ... I forgot to mention earlier that we were going to get a Fish Fry for Ash Wednesday from the fire station ... because of Covid it was a drive-thru ... they had it pretty well organized ... streets were set up with cones and blocked to local traffic. Place your order and pay ... then they run the order in and our dinners came out within minutes ... to our surprise, the fish was still hot (we live about 3 minutes from the station) but the fries were a little soggy (not bad though) ... I guess this is going to be how they will do the Fish Fry for the rest of Lent.

We had a cold but sunny day too ... glad you were able to get out and walk ... your meatless meals brought back memories for me too ... and we can't forget VELVEETA 😃

Good morning ~  Heat wave!  We are 26 now and going to be 32 later.  After this next storm passes, we are supposed to get some relief with sun and 50-60 temps.  

Spent most of the day recyclng water.  The faucets were trickling and filling up bowls as fast as we could line them up to boil.  Thankful DD has tons of big pots!  We worked out a system for drinking and washing dishes - we are using the ice and snow for the toilets, now for a shower?  We still have power and heat - too much heat this morning!  Woke up to a flashing re-boot from the satellite and 79 degrees in my room.  Yes it is too warm in here.  Shouldn't complain, some folks have no heat!

Be careful when you skid into New Mexico walker!!  😂😂😂

Another day closer to end of winter!!  Just heard we will get more snow on Sunday....joy, joy.  But, then the heat wave comes....hopefully, gradual...can't have things melt too fast.  

cookie, you are "camping" at home these days! I would not have thought about snow for toilets, etc. Amazing what you can come up with to "make do".  What did the animals think of the snow?  

Still no news from kittyfan...😧...QA will have to circle around when we make our water drop soon....I could hover over your house, cookie, and let it pour for a shower like Tootie suggested...haha!  Just put your bathing suit on and bring a bar of soap.  OR...hopefully, you get lucky and be able to shower inside soon.

Tootie, you mentioned your Fish Fry.  I had forgotten about those...have not heard of our church making plans for that yet....probably not this year.
