I just heard news on President too, Tootie.  Hope it is just a positive test but doesn't become more serious.  Before we get through this pandemic, we may all test positive but feel fine!  Fortunately for most of us, we can shelter ourselves easier.  Scary times....just when we are getting more comfortable with this disease, it is ramping up.  🥴 Hope for the best.....and Cope with rest.....

cookie, more bad news...those fires in CA that just don't stop!  It must be awful and the haze from smoke daily, etc. I know how sad it must make you...your home state and family there.  On a funnier note, your story about ex taking kids to neighbors on Halloween ....but, they never saw the candy! HA!  

kittyfan, too bad TS has been a challenge this week.  Why do people step in and just take over?  Oh well....carry on doing what you know is right.  Get your reward at Cafe whenever you can.

I have some laundry to do and run to store today.  So, better get the day going!  By the way, mark your calendars for our BIG Birthday Bash for Two on 10th!  Tootie, you and I need to put our thinking caps on....where to go..or set up tent again on SCC Court?  I know our famous Chef will come!!

Good afternoon. Busy TS day. Much better. Tomorrow will have to deal with Chatty Kathy! I think I knoe her life story.

Managed to leave just in time to zip to Café. I drop the deposit but waited till my visit!!! I walked in said I was last customer. Well made my order including carrot cake. My sweet Kristen came out with a hug and said it wasn't frosted but she would save me a piece on Sunday.

Enjoyed my meal. They had all gathered in the back of the cafe for a meeting. My intent was to slip out. Chorus of goodbyes calling me by name. My server was the sweet young man from last week. He walked me to the door.

Went to bank and left deposit. Then to PO. Home exhausted. Took a bit of a nap. Repeat tomorrow. Maybe not Café but I normally drop the deposit at bank.

Good morning ~  It sure is nice outside - 57 - mykind of weather.  Going up to 85 this afternoon.  Nothing planned - my kind of day.   I feel UB's coming on.........

kittyfan, glad to hear you had a better day at the TS.  Lucky you Chatty Cathy today!  The Cafe folks sure love and appreciate you!  How nice to be around such wonderful people.  

I heard about the President yesterday. I also hope it doesn't get worse.  Hope it doesn't turn into a political issue.  

Seven got stuck in the back 40 yesterday and it took him awhile before he figured out which part of the fence or gate to squeeze under.  He has the longest legs!  Such a loveable naughty puppy!  A HUGE puppy!  ❤️

kittyfan, your Cafe reminds of Cheers ... "where everybody knows your name" ... sorry you have to work with Chatty Kathy today, but I know you will be able to just tune her out and carry on with your duties!!

It's not supposed to rain today so we may clean up the garden beds ...

Happy Saturday!  Chilly here too...DH just turned heat on....definitely Fall....thoughts turning more to comfort foods too.....last night fixed Chicken Pot Pie and tonight doing Pot Roast in Crock Pot.  Starting to think soups and meatloaf too....yum.

I was initially alarmed at our President being taken to hospital yesterday but then realized it was a good decision (like they needed to consult with me anyway...ha!).  But, he is in the best place for best round-the-clock care.  I wish him, and our First Lady, a speedy recovery.  

I am starting to get a bit paranoid again about this virus.  DH and I both take Vitamin D.  I need to check my supply as soon you won't find it on the shelves.  😷 🖐 6ft. 🙏

kittyfan, hope you have a good day at TS with Chatty Kathy!  And, you certainly are a special, honored friend at the Cafe!  It does sound like Cheers, Tootie! (Slightly different without the bar...ha...funny show.)

cookie, that Seven is a hoot .... glad you were able to think of something for Q!

Good morning ~  walker, I cannot even imagine turning the heat on!  We will be in the mid 80'stoday and the brain isn't connecting with any other heat.  I have not heard of vitamin D as it relates to COVID.  I take a multi vitamin in the morning that does have vitamin D. What is it supposed to do in relation with COVID? 

kittyfan, how did your TS day go with Chatty Cathy?  Maybe she has no friends outside of the TS and needs to talk to people.  Just not all the time.  You definitely are a Queen Bee for the TS.  

                       

Tootie, did you get the rain?  Yard clean up?  Does your DH consider yard clean up part of his image for the greenest lawn/yard?  Men are so funny.

Good morning friends ... cookie, we did get our rain so we couldn't do our yard work ... DH had just put his winter treatment on the lawn so he was quite happy with the rain ... (apparently the lawn needs water after you apply it!) ... that's a great picture of our BuzyBee!!

walker, your comfort food sounds delicious ... I love chicken pot pie ... we haven't had to turn our heat on yet ... I'm getting more nervous about this virus too especially seeing how it has spread from our President on down ... I know a lot of them weren't wearing masks and I am a big believer of them ... but now I am very leary of even going to the store again ... I guess you just have to be very, very careful ... watching Mass this morning you could hear people coughing ... stay home people!! ... (I would imagine they had masks on ... but no thanks!!)

kittyfan, I hope you were able to enjoy your day at the TS yesterday ...

I started to send a message earlier and then paper was delivered.  So, stopped to read it.  Then I was hungry so had to feed myself.  Now, here I am!  Happy Sunday to all!

cookie, very cute pic...and very appropriate for our busy bee!  About Vitamin D.... not speaking as expert....my doctor advised I take it years ago as my D levels were low.  D helps with absorption of calcium...important especially for women...you probably know that.   Since this pandemic began, I have read that it was found that people with higher levels of Vitamin D responded better to COVID.  So, I started giving it to DH as well.   I used to take a Multi-Vitamin but feel I eat a pretty healthy diet, so dropped it...only take extra D now.  I even dropped calcium because recent reports came out that too much may cause some heart problems.  I drink milk, eat yogurt, cottage cheese, etc. so think I get my calcium.  Not sure what to believe anymore...it changes often.  🥴

We all know how serious this disease is and feel everyone has to make good choices, be responsible and conscious of what they do everyday.  It is the "invisible enemy" and anyone can get it.  I do believe in wearing masks as well when out in public.  Stay rested!  Stay hydrated!  Stay home if you don't feel well.  Common sense, eh?  I had to laugh at comment on TV this morning...."I would hate to be the President's Doctor....it would be like trying to control a Bull!"  🤣  Maybe our President drinks Red Bull because he has more energy than anyone I know!  I wish him a speedy recovery!

Tootie, this is so funny but not surprising....my DH was out yesterday too doing his "winter treatment" of lawn!  haha

And, you know, I love chicken pot pie but not favorite of DH.  However, he never complains about anything I fix...he is happy to be fed.  I made it easier for him this time though.  I picked up his favorite Cherry Pie at store.  I said..."if you eat my Chicken Pot Pie...you get a piece of Cherry Pie"....HA!  He loved it!

Hello  ... right now I am so ticked off at our President ... what in the world is he thinking (obviously he's not) by going out so he can wave/acknowledge his supporters outside the hospital ... this is just crazy!! how many more people are going to be infected now?? ... I know it was a political move ... but it was a very stupid move if you ask me ... OK, rant is over!!

walker, funny story about dessert if DH ate your pot pie ... even if I didn't like Chicken Pot Pie, I would eat it as cherry pie is my favorite ...

I hope everyone had a good day ... we had a rain off and on day so I got some sorting and cleaning done ...

This is one tired bee! Yesterday was crazy. Lots of folks showed up. Many new. We had too many. Of course the new folks know it all! After store closed pulled end of the month In my assigned area. Funny how no one stays to help. I finally couldn't finish. I had to drop the deposit and no reports. I went today after church to finish. Yesterday we started taking donations. Everything stuffed. We still quarantine. So it is a process

I didn't know this fella but they were talking about a 50 yr old who passed after a month in hospital. Then we heard of another death. We had a couple who would pick our metal up to recycle. He apparently had a heart attack. 55.

I ran into the husband of one of our lead ladies as I pulled up. He told me how much had come in it was a mess when I left. Today everything neat.

Then I zipped to Café. Placed my order. Watched a church service. Realized it had been an hour! So I called. Food was ready just a snafu. Sundays seem to be issue ridden. I heard they were very busy.

Got my food and headed home.

Tomorrow will go to TS. I will look for plates for Café. Plan to take it easy and pace my self.

Big wedding at church on Saturday. I wasn't among the 350 but that was okay. I talked to our church organist. She does alterations and sews. Very busy always. Told me she had to do an emergency as one of the wedding party couldn't zip her dress! I don't know how she does it. When they built their house her drawing room etc is front of the house. She can close doors to rest of house.
