Home safe and sound......one of our best adventures yet!!!!  Cookie.....laughed at being "5 hoops to the wind".......weren't we all?!  But, we came home with lots of medals and another police escort out of town!  Rio said "nice to see you and good you will not be back.... some other lucky city gets you next time".  It will be awhile and they will forget about us...ha!  

Just another crazy Saturday here.....lots of laughs.  Rest well tonight!  Back to normal tomorrow......what is that?

Good morning friends!! ... another fun Saturday!! and cookie, love your "5 hoops to the wind" too!! (we sure were, and then some!)

We had some rain yesterday and much more overnight, but it didn't last very long and really did nothing for the temperature ... more rain predicted for today and we dropping down to the lower 80's ... maybe it will actually feel a little cooler??!!

Have a good Sunday ... getting my coffee and reading my paper before we head out to Mass later on .....

Good morning  So nice to be home.  Rio wasn't very receptive and their hospitality towards up stunk!  Oh well, we have the rest f the world to conquer - onward SCC!!!  

We actually got dumped on yesterday afternoon.  It came down in sheets - thundering all the time.  Lasted about 30 minutes or enough to make the yards look like ponds.  I thoroughly enjoyed it.  Of course this went along with the cold front of 88.  Strange weather everywhere.  

Thanks for the coffee, Tootie.

Pouring the coffee and passing it on, Tootie!  I need it.  I am exhausted after yesterday.....just thinking about it.......ha!  Church and a long UB today!

We need rain!!!  Up goes our water bill again. Those poor people in Louisiana.

Good morning ~  From one extreme to another.  We definitely having a cold front.  It will only be 78 today with thunderstorms and flash flood warnings.  Good thing is, UB's can now be taken outside watching the storms 

I guess we weren't the only ones complaining about Rio.  I read that the whole thing wasn't very pleasant - accomodations, dirty pools, in general not very friendly.  OTOH, Simone Biles is not only awesome, she is gorgeous!  What an acheivement.  

Saw a video of a horse jumping rope, I think I will attempt to train Mudpie just in case we need another act in the future.  I somehow don't see this working since he is a rotound little guy and stubborn to boot, but I will persevere.

Good morning friends!! ... I'm enjoying our cool weather right now too cookie ... we are at 67 now but we will go up to 81!! we never got our rain yesterday either ... it was very hot and humid!! ... cookie, good luck with Mudpie learning "the ropes" ... and when he becomes a pro at that, you can teach him to hoop too!! ... just think of the crowds we would draw ...

Catch up Monday for me ... and maybe some UB's ... Have a good Monday everyone ...

Don't get chilled and catch a cold, cookie!  78.....delightful but sudden change for you.   Is this the day your DS comes to visit?  

I have been watching Olympics and really enjoyed swimming and gymnastic events.  So happy for Simone Biles.  I can't imagine doing that and landing on my feet!  Talk about a big belly-flop on the mat!  That would be me!

Grandkids go back to school this week.....feeling sad that GD, our youngest, goes to kindergarten.  They grow up so fast and it seems when they start school it goes even faster.  

Time for breakfast........start my engine....ha....it is sputtering!

walker, bittersweet tears I bet .... is your GD excited about going to school?? I know some are very attached to mom/dad and have anxiety about going ...

I enjoy the swimming and gymnastics too!! ... and I'd be right next to you (belly down) on that mat, walker!! ... those girls are so good!! (and guys!)

Hope everyone had a good day ... I had the Olympics on while folding laundry ... it was the woman's Hammer Throw ... it involves a steel ball with some kind of tether to it ... the woman holds the end of the tether and spins and spins and spins around and then lets go of it ... off it goes down across the field ... I was laughing, thinking of the CSS and having cookie do the throwing ... a DISASTER waiting to happen for sure!! ... and while she is throwing the ball, there was some kind of race going on in the same arena!! .... just thought I would share that!
