Oh I certainly wouldn't want to be a teacher. A friend of mine who taught for many years quit the profession. She said it had changed so it was tough. In her school district she was allowed to sit down at all during the period. If the ""powers"" saw she was sitting down she would be reprimanded!. But parents have to be proactive and vigilant.

Good morning ~ bigkat, I don't envy you. Tough for all concerned! Teachers actions are mimicked, just as are parents. Be careful what you put out there. I would not want to be a teacher in these times. Good luck with your son. Had a visitor yesterday. Our neighbors little Shetland escaped and came over to our yard (again). How he gets in, we don't know, but he just loves one of our horses and, of course she loves him. It is so cute. DD called the owners and they came to get Hershey and take him home. Wonder how long until he's back? He is adorable. We will be 72 today - Outside UB, here I come! All you freezer ladies try to stay warm.

Hi! Good morning. We are sunshine and middle 50s today. However, they have winter storm warning/watches posted for the whole state! We will see if they are correct.

I do see green coming up out front where some of the plants are. Since we are having a early Easter this year, I know we will have a late frost!!! Hope everyone stays warm and safe. Kathy

Hello and Happy Friday!!! Well, my kids are off until Tuesday, but all the schools were closed today anyway! We were -5 and -24 with the wind chill earlier, no snow today, but we sure got dumped on yesterday! Every time I turned around I could shovel another 3-4 inches. It finally stopped late last night.

Walker, I had the same thing with feeding birds yesterday! I opened our back garage door and couldn't believe how deep the snow was, but I ventured out.

Cookie, how cute that must be with those two!!

Wow, someone just went down the street pulling a large boat...odd for this time of year and with all the snow and ice to get around!

Thanks everyone for the teacher input, we do have a meeting with the principal next week...probably well over due. I could not be a teacher, and most are super! This is a smaller school, and the teachers have been great with my son, but this year has been a big downer. We are quite sure there have been complaints on her before, and I know this year some other kids have gone home in tears. We have a feeling she has tenure and they can't do much about her...she is a good "teacher", just not good at communicating and feelings of the kids. My son goes to school everyday saying he hopes he doesn't get yelled at today. Like you said walker, bullying comes to my mind, not that she tries to, but it just comes out that way towards my son.
