Hi! Good evening. Just wanted to check in and see how you all are doing. We had about 4" of snow on Monday with ice. They are saying 6 - 10" over the weekend. Springtime in the Rockies!

Tootie15, I finally saw my first robin one day last week. I can't remember when, but it was beautiful. The memorial for DH's brother will be sometime in April. Thanks for the hugs, prayers and good thoughts. We found out today that he had been really sick for two years. So sad!!! Hope everyone has the best day you can tomorrow. Kathy

Good morning everyone!! ... good to see you Kathy!! sorry to hear that your BIL was sick for a while ... did he not tell anyone?? ... hopefully seeing that robin means that Spring is really on the way!! (and soon!!) ...

We are at 1 degree and that's pretty much what we will stay at today!! ... we got a couple of inches of snow overnight too and are expecting more for today ....

FHG, yes, your pictures are way too big ... I couldn't even see the whole thing on my screen!!

Stay warm everyone and have a good day ...

Good morning ~ Hi Kathy, how sad to find out that your BIL was sick for 2 years. Did you know Colorado was voted number 6 of the happiest states by the Gallop-Healthways well being index? Texas was 10. My home state, CA was 12. Thanks for the countdown, walker. Good luck with the teacher issues. It's been a looooong time since I had to deal with those. My youngest is 43. Yikes, FHG, I don't have an 80" screen!!!! 70 today, stay warm everyone.

Good Morning Friends! I can't use my IPad with FHG's big message. It is my most convenient thing to use. I can't read messages font is soooo small. But, for time being, I can use the PC too.....may not be on as often though as DH uses this one the most. Anyway....a very chilly morning here...7 BELOW! Schools are closed. Sun is shining so that makes winter seem brighter! Kathy, glad you could check in....so sorry about loss of DH's brother. So shocking when unexpected...never easy. Have a good day everyone.

Good morning! We have that below coldness too, high of 6 today. Most of the schools right around us are open, others are closed...kids were not happy about that! I really thought it would be closed. The snow just keeps coming down, and it is a mess to drive in, ice underneath and hard to see at times. No sun here walker! You don't want to head this way any time soon.

Good to see you Kathy, but sorry to hear how things had gone with DH's brother.

The teacher issue has been heavy on our minds...she is very militant, which is ok to a point. My son has special needs, does quite well and is in a "normal" class. Teacher knows his medical issues, but seems to really push him and cut him down for many things. Of course all we know is what our son tells us, so it would all be her word against his, but we are looking to meet with the principal. Any time I have brought something to her attention, he say's he gets in trouble at school because he told us things. We don't want to make things harder for him so I feel in the middle of it all!

Well now, I probably rambled on too much and it may be a different letter by now!

Hi! Good morning. You all are really, really cold!! We are to be middle 40s with sun today.

Thank you for letting me vent about the situation for my DH! sigh

bigkat, so sorry for the teacher stuff! It is frustrating. The kids have a new principal this year and lets just say they are excited to be changing school in the fall. Everyone stay warm and safe. Kathy

Hello ... bigkat, glad that you are keeping on top of things with your son at school ... it's hard enough for him to be in the classroom and then to have the teacher pick on him ... and if she is saying things or holding it against him because he tells you what is going on, shame on her!! ... I really hope that you can get to the bottom of this ... not fun for him and certainly not fun for you and your DH ....

Be careful out there ... it's tough enough driving in the snow ... add ice to the mix and it becomes dangerous!!

Hi again.......definitely an inside day....I watched my birds and squirrels going nuts outside for some food so I ventured out.....wow....should have had a face mask on....I tossed seed and came back in quick! The sun is deceiving. Always good to check in here with all of you and keep in touch. Bigkat......your situation is a tough one...I've been there...also watched a militant type teacher with one of my grandsons...did not like her. These teachers are walking a fine line with bullying. As you said, you are hearing your son's side but you also know how the teacher can be. Hopefully, by meeting with the principal, the school can observe the situation without the teacher being aware. Maybe they can move your son to another class (?). There are some teachers in classrooms that should be removed themselves!! Good luck.......you have every right to look out for your son's best interests........the teacher would be stupid to continue any actions/comments toward your son. Bye for now. Time for a UB.
