Thanksgiving Meatballs

[ Edited ]

I found this recipe on Budget Bytes and it sounds good.

16oz. Box stuffing mix

1cup hot water

19 oz. Ground turkey

2 Tbs butter

1 Lg. Egg

Preheat oven to 400

Add water to stuffing mix for 5 min. or so to soften.
Add ground  turkey + egg

mix and form into about 20 ping pong sized balls

Bake for 20 min.
Melt butter in skillet and add meatballs to brown

Dip in cranberry sauce.

I'm sorry, I usually check my posts before I send. I've edited it and of course it's ground turkey. In this case I'm the turkey, again , sorry. 🦃

I make a meatloaf that you add stuffing mix to.  It's nice because you don't need a lot of other ingrendients.

What a great idea!  How much ground meat does it call for?

@Tinkrbl44   This is the recipe.  I do not bake it in a bundt pan.  I form a loaf and bake it in temp-tations.  Of course, it takes longer to bake in a loaf than in a bundt pan.  I also put the the traditional ketchup/brown sugar topping on before baking.  My spouse LOVES meatloaf.

Ingredients

  • 1 package Stove Top stuffing any flavor
  • 1 cup hot water
  • 2 packets brown gravy mix divided use
  • 1.5 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 2 large eggs beaten

Instructions

  • In a medium sized bowl add stuffing mix and 1 cup of hot water and let sit 5 minutes.
  • In a separate bowl, mix 1 package of brown gravy mix with cold water. Combine ground beef, mixed gravy and egg.
  • After the stuffing has sat for 5 minutes and cooled, incorporate the stuffing mix into the ground beef mixture.
  • Grease a bundt pan with non stick spray and then press the ground beef mixture into the pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-55 minutes or until no longer pink inside
  • Once baked, rest for 5 minutes while preparing the second package of gravy and then invert onto a plate.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes and brown gravy in the center of the meatloaf.

I made these this weekend and liked them!  So easy, I used pork Stove Top as that is my favoriite.  I would recommend flipping the meatballs at ten minutes as mine got a little brown on the bottom.  It could be my oven, but just a neads up.  Thanks so much for sharing!

I think this recipe sounds delicious!! but I would cook the meatballs in the airfryer--meatballs are fabulous cooked that way!!
