No recipes needed for my family--we like eating the typical t-day dinner until there is NOTHING left--but also eat turkey sammies too. Can't wait!!~

Was watching Amer test kitchen on Saturday---Bridget was doing a segment on removing the spine of the bird and cooking it flat---she mentioned that her fave beverage was gravy--made me laugh--I'd drink gravy from a coffee mug too  --just a funny!!

Re: Thanksgiving Leftovers Recipes

The combination of cranberry sauce and cream cheese sounds delicious! Doesn't this sandwich look good?

For this recipe that is a grilled sandwich, what kind of bread would you use?

I would also warm up the Turkey and dressing before assembling the sandwich

Grilled Turkey Cranberry Cream Cheese Sandwich

  • 2 slices bread
  • turkey or chicken leftovers work great for this!
  • cranberry sauce
  • Stuffing (optional)
  • 1 tbsp cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 tbsp mayo
  • 1 tsp butter

Instructions

  • Spread a light coat of mayo on each slice of bread (outside side for frying)
  • One one side, spread the softened cream cheese. On the other side pile on some stuffing (if you’re using it) and press it down.
  • Spread cranberry sauce on top of the cream cheese. I like a lot, but you can use less if you want. Press sliced turkey or chicken onto stuffing.
  • Assemble sandwich. Heat a frying pan over medium-low heat and melt 1/2 a teaspoon of butter in it. Place sandwich on the melted butter and butter the top half.
  • Cook slowly until the bottom is golden brown, then flip and cook the other side until it’s brown and the middle is warmed and deliciously melty.
  • Serve hot and enjoy
