@ScarletDove - I'm sorry I'm late posting this. It's been a busy week! I got this recipe in Japan from my friend Terisan. I used to watch her make it. Of course she never followed a recipe! I'm posting it exactly as she gave it to me. It makes a lot! Enjoy if you make it! Smiley Happy

Terisan's Fried Rice

Green pepper, chopped - about 3 or 4 small

Carrot, chopped - 1

Onion, chopped - 1 large

7 slices bacon, chopped in 1" pieces

Chopped ham - about 1-1/2 - 2 cups

Eggs - 4

Rice

Sesame seed oil

Small can of mushroom

Fry bacon and carrots in skillet. Add onion, pepper, and ham. Scramble eggs in separate pan with a little oil. Add to skillet and mix well. Add rice and mix in gradually. Add 3 shakes Accent. Add about 5 Tablespoons shoyu (Japanese soy sauce). Sprinkle on sesame seeds oil. Add mushrooms. Simmer a while.

NOTE: I make about 6 c. cooked rice, but you will be able to judge when you add it to the other ingredients. Don't use instant. I never use Accent. Try to get Japanese soy sauce, either regular or light - I usually use Kikkoman light. Chinese soy sauce is saltier and has a different flavor. It will keep in the refrigerator for about a week. Ours never lasts that long! When my children were young I left the mushrooms out!
