Hello, I am looking for a sugar cookie recipe that was in the Insider magazine many many years ago. I believe it was a recipe that one of the hosts said was their favorite. Can anyone help me??

• @TingaT923.  I don't have a specific recipe in mind, there are tons on the internet.  However, I've made a boatload of cookies in my time, and long ago discovered that the best sugar cookie recipes call for real butter and powdered, instead of granulated, sugar.  It makes them taste very rich and "short", like shortbread.

I joined the Forums years ago because someone requested the

1-2-3 Sugar Cookie recipe!

Great for cut outs!  I usually roll in a ball and press with a glass dipped in sugar!

I use salted butter because I think it balances the sweet!

A bakery down the street from me makes brown sugar cookies, oh my word those are better than "sugar" cookies.
