2 -10 ounce packages of frozen sliced strawberries in juice. Birds eye has these in a pink package. Thaw.
1 1/2 cups of mini marshmellows
1 3 ounce pkg. strawberry jello
1 white cake mix ( the ones with the pudding in it work best)
Preheat oven to 350
Grease 9x13 pan. Line pan with marshmellows. Make cake mix according to directions. Pour gently over marshmellows. in bowl combine thawed strawberries with jello. Spoon evenly over cake batter to cover completely. Bake for 45 minutes. Top of cake should be golden. Cool 10 minutes. Run knife around edges to loosen.Top pan with foil lined cookie sheet. Flip cake over onto cookie sheet. You will have an upside down strawberry cake! When you bake this cake the strawberries sink and the marshmellows rise. Serve warm with whipped cream or cool whip. This is a recipe I made years ago and loved. Just found it again. Hope you enjoy!
