This is an old recipe that I have been making for over 30 years! It is something kinda close to a recipe LilBitMissty posted recently which reminded me of this one! Hope you try it sometime!!

Strawberry Chiffon

1 large box of strawberry jello

2 cups boiling water

1 10 oz. pkg. frozen strawberries(thawed & undrained)

1 small can crushed pineapple(undrained)

2 thinly sliced banana's

1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese(room temp)

1 8 oz. cool whip

1 tsp. vanilla extract

1 1/2 cup confectioners sugar

1 cup chopped nuts(I use pecans)

Mix jello & 2 cups boiling water together until jello is disolved. Set aside 1/4 cup of jello mixture. To remaining jello, add strawberries, pineapple and sliced banana's. Stir and refridgerate for 1 1/2-2 hours. Combine softened cream cheese, cool whip, confectioners sugar, vanilla extract, nuts & the reserved jello. Mix until well blended. Spread over chilled jello mixture. Refrigerate until ready to serve. It has been a long time since I have made this but i think I used a 9 x 9 glass dish.
