Storm food

I don't want to be all crazy about this but we are getting that terrible storm this weekend and even though I know I can survive without things for a day or two the problem here is that people panic and buy everything and then the shelves are bare for a few days till deliveries come in. I am going to make a trip to the store later and I want to pick up some minimal things that will be Ok if we lose power. The only thing I can think of is bread for PB&J sandwiches. What else can I get that won't spoil and would be Ok for a couple of days need be?
