1 pound steak tips
2 tablespoons Soy sauce
1 pound cremini mushrooms (or button, with some
-- dried mushrooms)
1 large onion chopped
2 tablespoons Tomato paste
1 clove garlic clove, minced
1/2 cup red wine
4 cups beef broth
1 3/4 cups chicken broth
4 medium carrots, cut into 1-inch lengths
2 ribs celery chopped
1 bay leaf
1. Marinade steak in soy sauce for 15 minutes
2. Sauté onion & mushroom in oil until onion is brown & dark bits form in
the bottom of the pan
3. Add beef & sauté until liquid evaporates & beef starts to brown.
4. Add tomato taste & garlic, cook until aromatic (about 30 seconds)
5. Add red wine to deglaze pan
6. Add remaining ingredients. simmer 25-30 minutes until vegetables & meat
are tender.
