I'm allergic to all dairy so I used all my soy substitutes for cheese, butter and sour cream and I used ground bison for this and it came out delicious. Thanks for the recipe. Its a really nice one for comfort food and my two guests visiting me this weekend loved it too!

Thank you for the recipe Britbrit! I for one can't eat the so-called "healthy, low-fat" recipes. I have to eat low-carb with lots of protein and lots of healthy fats. In my case your recipe is good for me except I will use squash instead of pasta and see how it turns out. No grain for me!

I know lots of people follow the low-fat mantra but many of us have found it makes our blood sugar and cholesterol higher than if we eat high-fat and protein diets.

I made this over the weekend with a few minor switches. I cut the recipe in half since I was cooking for two.

I used one jar of Paul Newman marinara sauce, 8 ounces of Barilla cut spaghetti, 1/4 pkg of low fat cream cheese, 4 ounces of low fat small curd cottage cheese, 1/8 cup of fat free sour cream, and I baked it all at 350 degrees for about twenty-five minutes and then sprinkled it lightly with cheese and put it back into the oven for a few additionals minutes.

We had it for supper Saturday with salad and corn bread. There was a small portion of left over spaghetti bake which I packed for work today............

Thanks for the recipe idea....it was easy to make and we enjoyed the flavors!

Mom, TY for taking the time to come back and let us all know how it worked out, that's so awesome when you take a recipe and make it your own!!! sounds great and you cut back on some of the fat... which gives other people ideas!! its always nice to have options, Take care!

I'm so glad it worked for your family!!

You are welcome...........I am a fan of anything with pasta, cheese and tomato sauce but your idea to add the cream cheese to the mix elevated the dish to a new level.........the creamy texture was delicious........I will certainly make this again..........

Your welcome, I think the creaminess is delicious, This was my mother's recipe..it is one of the ones that take me home...its been 10 years, and i can still smell this dish in the oven cooking...memories.. Mom never wrote alot of things down she just expected us to know cause we watched her.. I forgot my notes and had to add them later.. I guess that's why iv never changed it...making it your own is what makes us great cooks !!!

Take care, Brittany

I just want to say I'm with most of the posters here on these boards. I so enjoy checking out recipes daily on here. If you don't like a recipe shared just move on. There is no reason what's so ever to be mean and leave nasty comments. I appreciate posters take the time to share and post these recipes and I for one am happy they do since it makes me a better cook. If you want healthier change it up. I do this a lot with recipes. I think we can all eat things in moderation is key.

Thanks for sharing this recipe and keep them coming Britbrit 13 and all of you who post wonderful recipes.

Maybe the ones who are into healthy eating 24/7 should start a 'Healthy Eating Recipe Swap'.
