I wanted to cook hard boiled eggs. I must have misjudged my time and I ended up with soft boiled eggs.
Can I just go back and cook the soft boiled eggs again and they will become hard boiled eggs. Or am I stuck with soft boiled eggs?

I'm wondering if you can give them a little microwave zap to finish them up. I tend to think re-boiling them won't go well.

I would reboil them as long as they were stored correctly...as in kept in the fridge after cooking them the first time and too much time hasn't passed. If longer than three days, throw them out.
I once tried to microwave eggs in microwave whole. I won't do that again. They exploded.

Are they too soft/runny or could you make then into an egg salad? then it woulddn't matter

OOoo, warm Soft boiled egg on toast with a little salt. My Mom used to make that for us when we were kids. Might just have that for lunch!

Yes you can reboil an undercooked boiled egg. Eating undercooked eggs is risky yet people still eat them soft or runny. Not me, never.

They are not runny. Just have a jiggle. I am sure someone who likes soft boiled eggs would be happy to eat them.
But they are too soft for my son. He likes them for a high protein snack. And of course I made a big batch.
I am not a big fan of soft boiled eggs. We put some out by the bird feeder. My son said the opossum and fox would eat it. But I feel bad attracting animals that would bother the birds.

@drizzellla Can you move the eggs away from the bird feeder? a far corner maybe? Keep the varmints away from the seeds.

Good idea, but we also have cats and hawks patrolling our yard too. I think the vermin will take in the entire area. The birds are always on alert.

Soft cooked eggs remind me of my deceased step-sister, she loved them . . .
But I would reboil them, what can it hurt at this point? And if it works out YAY, if not the possums will love them, I often make them for our little possums when I have older eggs. FYI- they are great critters to have around, they eat the ticks and fleas and harm no one.
