Before my coffee had kicked in, I noticed your title for this thread.

I thought ....  Huh, what's a lemon ice box?

LOL   Woman LOL

It's not "lemon ice box."  They are separate things!

I'm old enough that I remember having an ICE BOX and the ice man brought ice to keep it cool!  Pre Fridge!

@ciao_bella, thanks! @Ainhisg also posted a great recipe, and I'm adding this one.

No Bake Classic Woolworth Cheesecake

No Bake Woolworth Cheesecake is a classic, light and lemony dessert.
 Ingredients

  • 1 box graham cracker crumbs (3 cups)
  • 1 stick melted butter
  • 1 8oz cream cheese
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 5 tbsp lemon juice
  • 12 oz Cool Whip

Instructions

  • Dissolve Jell-O in boiling water. Stir in cold water. Cool until slightly thickened.
  • Mix graham cracker crumbs and melted butter until well blended, press into bottom of a 9 X 13 pan to form a crust.
  • In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar and lemon juice with a mixer until smooth.
  • Add thickened Jell-O, then gently fold in Cool Whip.
  • Spread filling over crust.
  • Chill at least 4 hours and up to overnight, s
  • Store covered in refrigerator.
  • It's nice to top each serving w/ a drizzle of raspberry sauce and some fresh berries.
