STRAWBERRY POUND CAKE
1 (18 OZ.) BOX STRAWBERRY CAKE MIX
1 (3.4 OZ.) PACKAGE INSTANT VANILLA PUDDING MIX
1/3 CUP CANOLA OIL
4 EGGS
1 (3 OZ.) PACKAGE STRAWBERRY GELATIN
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients PLUS 1 cup water in bowl and beat for 2 minutes at medium speed. Pour into sprayed, floured bundt pan. Bake for 55 to 60 minutes.
Cake is done when toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool for 20 minutes before removing cake from pan..If you would like an icing, use prepared vanilla icing. Serves 12 - 16.
F.Y.I. I cooked mine 55 minutes and was in a rush so I took it right out of pan...no problems...I didn't put icing on mine...Great tasting ! (Going to serve mine tonight with a side serving of fresh strawberries...yum)

What if you don't own a bundt pan?

Thanks! This looks so good! Of course, I wanted to pin it, so I headed over to Pinterest.
Haven't found this exact one, yet, but did find this one which is very similar, with the addition of mini chocolate chips (it has all the same ingredients except the strawberry gelatin). Don't know how different that will make, it, other than the color.

ETA that it will get the color from the cake mix, of course. Just thought of that. I suppose the lack of the gelatin will make it less sweet?

Thanks for this. I have everything except the gelatin. I wonder how much difference it would make if I left it out.

house_cat....I wish I could advise you on that....I would venture to guess that it would not be as good but if you decide to try it without the gelatin , let me/us know how it turns out. If it's not '''very tasty'', then we'll know next time. Good luck

I might have to stop at the store today for some other things. If so, I'll pick up the Jello.
Thanks for a nice recipe.

I followed the instructions exactly - not beating over 2 minutes. I was pleased with how it looked when it came out of the oven - not cracked on the top at all.

I bought the gelatin yesterday and I'm planning to make this today after work. I'll bet the house will smell wonderful!

My cake is almost gone after less that 24 hours...sign of a great recipe.
