I get a lot of requests for this one at work when someone is having a birthday and wants me to make the cake...I have to admit...it is very yummy...Tess

CHOCOLATE BAVARIAN TORTE

1 pkg. (18 1/ oz) devils food cake mix without the pudding

1 pkg. (8 oz) cream cheese, softened

2/3 C packed brown sugar

1 tsp. vanilla

1/8 tsp. salt

2 C. whipping cream, whipped..I also added whip cream stabilizer

2 Tbl. Grated semi-sweet choc.

Mix and bake cake as directed on pkg…use two 9” round pans…Cool completely..In a mixing bowl beat cream cheese, brown sugar, vanilla and salt until fluffy….Fold in whipped whip cream. Split each cake into two horizontal layers…now have four layers..spread with a fourth of the cream cheese mixture..sprinkle with fourth of grated chocolate…repeat layers…cover and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight….YUMMY!!!
