SLOW-COOKER PARTY DIPS

[ Edited ]

As with other slow-cooker recipes I've posted, these are from old crockpot books and you might need to adjust cook times for today's faster cookers.

CHILI-CHEESE DIP

1 pound lean ground beef

1 pound processed American cheese, cut in small pieces

1 can (8-10 ounces) green chilies and tomatoes (Ro-Tel  brand, maybe?)

2 teaspoons Worcestershire

1/2 teaspoon chili powder

Brown ground beef well and drain off grease.  Put beef and all remaining ingredients in slow-cooker and stir well.

Cover and cook on high for 1 hour, stirring until cheese is fully melted.

Serve immediately or turn to LOW setting for serving up to 6 hours later.

Serve with tortilla or corn chips.

(This recipe may be doubled)

1 (20-oz.) can refried beans

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup chopped green onions

1/4 teaspoon salt

Tortilla chips

In slow-cooer, combine beeans with cheese, onions, salt and taco sauce.

Cover and cook on LOW for 2 to 2-1/2 hours.

Serve hot from the pot with chips.
