Ribs And Shells
3 pounds pork spare ribs
1/4 cup onion...FINELY minced
3-4 Tablespoons brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/2-1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon DRY mustard
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
2-4 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup vinegar
1 (71/2 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 (7 1/2 ounce) can water
1/2 cup catsup
Cut spareribs into serving pieces. Bake in 350* oven. Cook til done and well browned. Drain. Place ribs in a large baking dish. Combine tomato sauce, water, catsup, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, chopped onion, brown sugar, paprika, salt, dry mustard (mix the dry mustard with just a little water to make a "paste" before adding to other ingredients) and chili powder. Mix these ingredients all together in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Pour over ribs. Bake 1 hour til the sauce has slightly thickened. Cook some small pasta shells according to package directions. Drain pasta. Remove the ribs from the sauce. Add the cooked shells to the sauce. Stir and serve.
