Hello Dear Friends!
I am going to make for a the first time Rhubarb Strawberry Crisp! I have never in my life used rhubarb so please forgive my ignorance.
The recipe calls for 4 cups diced rhubarb. Exactly how many stalks should I buy so I don't have too much leftover? Have any tips for picking out good quality stalks?
Are there any safety precautions I should know about because I hear that part of the plant is poisonous? It looks like celery? Will it hold its shape in cooking or does it mush down?
Any tips or tricks or recipes you might want to share will be most appreciated!!
