I'm looking for easy Fresh or Frozen Green Beans. No Mushrooms or that Cream of Mushroom Soup. To I made some boiled 6 minutes and col\d water shocked them. I then added some butter and Garlic. I liiked them my Husband said he couldn't taste the bean. I used very little minced Garlic and some Garlic Powder. Maybe I could roast them? I'm also looking for a Green Bean, Potatoes and Bacon recipe. While I'm asking I would like some recipes for Potatoes and Potatoe Gratin recipes. Thanks in advance.

I often take the thinest green beans I can find, saute in a little olive oil and soy sauce, then add a little water, cover and steam until fork tender.

They're good this way but you can't do it for a crowd.

I would suggest All Recipes and Cooks.com.  Everything has detailed reviews.

Maybe a little lemon juice to brighten up the green beans and some seasoning?

I make mine with pancetta, mushrooms, slivered almonds, some herbs, and lemon. Have to go semi-light on the lemon and it will be perfect.  One time I went a little too heavy with the lemon and it was not as good.

The green beans I like, that are frozen, are called 'petite whole green beans'.  They are very nice and not so big that they are a foot long.  hehe  Smiley Happy

I'm not much of a cook but I've gotten a lot of delicious and easy recipes from margaretsmorsels.blogspot.com.  She's got a recipe on there for marinated green beans that uses canned green beans, butter, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder and bacon.  They are so good!!!!  I wonder if you could substitute fresh or frozen green beans for the canned ones?  Here's the link if you want to see the recipe.  Hope this helps.

I use this recipe and I use a package of "steam in the bag" green beans.  Cook before putting in oil.  If you have it, add 1/2 tsp sesame oil!  Yum!

I think you could do it for a crowd, just use a large skillet and stir often.  They are so good, I think I'd try it.  I do like mine more done.
