Hi friends. I remember posting this recipe about 3 years ago (before the boards changed). I made it tonight and just thought I would re-post it for t newer posters
Hope you get the chance to make it. So easy and yet so good.
Cube Steak With Gravy
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
6-8 beef cube steaks
1 Tablespoon vegetable oil
1 large onion, sliced and separated into rings
3 cups water, divided
.75 oz. pkg. brown gravy mix
.75 oz. pkg. onion gravy mix
.75 oz. pkg. mushroom gravy mix
Hot mashed potatoes, cooked rice or cooked noodles
Place flour in a large resealable plastic bag. Add steaks, one at a time, and shake until completely coated. In a large skillet, cook steaks in oil until lightly browned on both sides. Transfer steaks to slow cooker. Add the sliced onion and 2 cups water. Cover and cook on Low for 8 hrs or until meat is tender. In a bowl, whisk together gravy mixes and remaining 1 cup water. Add to the slow cooker; stir. Cook on Low for 30 mins longer. Serve over mashed potatoes, rice or noodles.
