I found this on allrecipes.com. Recipe calls for 10 oz. of frozen strawberries, 1/2 cup of sugar and 2/3 cup of heavy cream. I had a 16 oz. bag of strawberries and put them in food processor with the sugar and pulsed til berries were chopped up and then slowly streamed in the heavy cream with the machine on. Because I had a large bag of fruit it took more than the 2/3 cup of cream. At first I didn't think it was working but lo and behold I took the top off and it was like soft serve. I did have to scrap the sides down before adding the cream. I'm not much of an ice cream person but it was good. My husband thought it could have used more sugar, but I liked it the way it was. It's obviously not Ben and Jerry but for a sudden craving or quick dessert I was impressed. I suppose Splenda could be substituted for the sugar to cut calories. I put it in a lock and lock with Saran Wrap pressed on the ice cream and it kept well.

That sounds delicious and easy. I'll have to get some strawberries and give it a try. Thanks for taking the time to post!

I want to try it with blueberries or peaches next.

The yonana machine does a pretty good job of making ice cream and the fruit is the sweetener, but do wish there was some way to get the cream in the "ice cream" that it makes. Nothing like cream to give that wonderful texture.

I have a NINja blender Purchased from QVC. It makes a great soft serve ice cream by using any FROZEN fruit and milk. Add 1/3 the amount of milk as you have of fruit. You could use some sugar and vanilla if desired. I use 2 pkgs. of splenda. instead of sugar.

Besides Splenda I found some Sugar Free Maple Syrup at Wal-Mart and use it quite a bit to bake with. I love to use it in cheesecake and will try with the ice cream as well. Sounds delicious.

This sounds good. I would like to try it with Truvia or Stevia in place of sugar.
