@RespectLife

I briefly saw the pull string thing. It seemed like a silly idea or so I thought. I have read several good things about it though.

OMG, remember this thing??? My Mom had one, it wasn't this nice pretty color though - it was brown I think. I remember chopping nuts with it.

mtc,

     I am still keeping you in my prayers, dear friend, regarding your job search. I know there is just the right job with just the right company. The job fair idea sounds like a good one. Even if it turns out there isn't anything immediately that you like, it is still good practice in interviewing and selling yourself. I am proud of you for continuing to pursue leads. You shall prevail!

     I once won a contest on the other shopping chanel and they sent me a couple of nice Korres things in kind of a pine scent and a free purse (I completed a survey.). They really worked well. It's a nice line.

     Let me know how you like Comcast. We got a good package deal a while back with Verizon. Recently, however, they ended up selling their FIOS business to Frontier. Things are not looking good—especially in the “On Demand” area. I missed the last two episodes of “Scorpion,” thinking they would be “On Demand” the next day after they were broadcast. It has been a couple of weeks and they still are not there. Bummer! We finally went to the CBS site and watched them on the computer.

@Writer with Flair thank you as always for your kind and encouraging words.  I'm sure today will go fine as I have no expectations.  It's kind of like a scatter shot across the room and hopefully one of the pellets will get someone's attention!

Comcast seems to have learned from their mistakes as so far my experience has been enjoyable.  They are coming tomorrow to do the installation so I'll know more then.

We have both Comcast and AT&T so we have a bit of wiggle room here.  AT&T keeps trying to shove everyone onto DirectTv and I am simply not returning to satellite ever again and I told the rep to please tell the powers that be that all because they made a billion dollar mistake in buying DT doesn't mean I am going to pay for it.

Comcast has some very interesting packages that are available right now in my area.  I will be getting super fast internet, all of the local channels and HBO for $59.99 and then for about $15 more I get an additonal 140 channels for a year with no contract.  Once I dump my phone line I will be saving over $50 a month and getting better service so I am beyond pleased!

Hope you and Mr. Writer are doing well my friend . . . Smiley Happy

I am SO thankful for so much...  That @VaBelle35 was so kind to the poor scared little boy...and that no serious injury occured.  God bless you for reaching out to him!

That @momtochloe has a job fair to GLEEN info from!

That @mustang66lady is progressing and healing!

That @novamc1 will be moving to a lovely new home in the South

That @ChiliPepper is such a wonderful mom

That @Writer with Flair is going to take years off me...and my nanners!

LOL

@novamc1

We will just DRINK at the party then!  No new stuff!

I did have fun at some event once where everyone had to bring some useless gadget.  I think we played like musical chairs and the things got passed all around.

Eventually, you got stuck with something.

Took home junk BUT left a piece of your own junk behind.  The funniest were the ones NO one knew what the heck they were!

@mustang66lady

I will be thinking of you and praying for you as this new move for your daughter and grandson occurs!

Well, I hate to say it but that thing is one of the best stupid things I have ever bought!  I use it ALL the time.

It is my fav chopper and I also use it for ham salad and wet little things too.  I can puree small amounts in it as well.  You can really control the size of the pieces you want.

I have just the single one...I think now you can get it with extra bowls or something.

I have had it for well over a year now.  I always worried the stupid string would break but it is going strong.  You can't put the lid in the dishwasher but it rinses right off.

My name is Chili & I am addicted to gadgets (amongst other things).

One of my fav things to do when I have a few minutes to myself is check out a yard sale or a thrift store.

I LOVE looking for gadgets, tools etc. It's so much fun to me trying to figure out what some of the old, old things are.

I love to look for kitchenware, pans, Corning & Correlle, glass dishes, hand tools, cutlery..........

Actually, I picked up a few pretty dishes last week, glass serving pieces. So pretty once I washed them up.

Ok, that probably makes me boring but oh well LOL!!!

@ChiliPepper

I have THAT chopper thing too!  It got pushed so high up in the cabinet, I need a forklift to get up there to ditch it.

My chopper bowl works much better!  I used to have to crank that thing forever to get all the nuts to go down!

I also HAVE those shoes...but in gold glitter!  LOL
