May I ask you why you are replacing the Kind bars? Do they have bad stuff in them?

I used to order them all the time. Q is one of the only places I could find the low sugar, but $$$. I couldn't find low sugar at Walmart or Wegmans.

I found them on Amazon....horribly stale!

Q had a ONe day only recently so I ordered again after a long absence. I forgot how much I like them but I am hungry 10 mins. later! LOL

I had switched to Corazonas. They fill me up better (heartier oatmeal). Q, however, ditched me on my 2 AD's. Supposedly couldn't fulfill the orders. Baloney. They didn't want to give me the old much lower price.

I need to hunt for a less expensive price on those....

I had a nice chat w/ my BFF. She said the job isn't horrible...but VERY different how they do things. She finds that hard after being so used to the 'old ways'.

She said the best thing about this job is the mecca of a shopping center nearby AND a very close Chick-Fila!

LOL At our age, we are thrilled with the little things that make us happy.

She said she has moved on from 'really pissed off' to slightly depressed. Not sure if that is an improvement! She even mentioned how bad she felt that she lost 'us' the discount on Periccone products (which was hefty!) I told her not to fret over THAT! We will grow old and wrinkly together now since neither of us will spend his full prices! LOL

I was able to place one last order with her...so my stash should keep me looking young for at least another year! She laughed at that.

All in all...may not be what she had planned for this stage in her life...but she is willing to accept the changes. Sounds good.

Happy Terrific Tuesday Kitchenettes!

I am about out the door but wanted to ask you all to keep in prayers the central part of the country. They are about to get bad storms, tornadoes, etc with hail the size of baseballs. It will get to us around 3 this afternoon but we are not to get quite the force that Oklahoma, Kansas, parts of MO, etc are to get. MTC-I don't know if any of this is heading quite to you or not but if you need anything, you may want to get ahead of this so you can hunker down. We will be in a storm pattern over the next 5-6 days.

Got to go-stay safe everyone!

Good golly, I saw those storms on the news this morning! So scary! It poured crazy last night and now it is headed @ChiliPepper way (sorry, sweetie)

Glad your weather @momtochloe is mowable! We still can't mow the 'back 40'. Swampsville.

Unfortunately today was supposed to be sunny and cool and it is now dark and damp so I don't see any lawn mowing taking place as the grass right now is just too wet. If I get a window sometime during the day I'll try and get at least the front yard done.

We had thunderstorms roll through here last night when I was watching Lucifer but no storm warnings were displayed on the tv so I think we are going to miss the extreme part of this storm thank goodness.

Good thoughts and prayers for our friend @mustang66lady and anyone else in it's path!

I really like Kind bars but if I can make them myself I would like to try as I am watching my pennies.

I would never order them from Amazon again (besides dropping the Prime subscription) as I was shocked at how stale they were too! Unfortunately by the time I got to them it was too late to complain but I did leave a review stating the same.

I like Corazonas and used to buy them at Costco. Not sure if they still carry them or if you are a member but they always have great deals on bars like this.

Actually my favorite thing right now are handfuls of trail mix . . . I just bought a small bag from Fresh Thyme Market's serve yourself bin . . . yum!

@RespectLife I am SO glad your friend is settling in, what great news! I am so sorry this has happened to her but hopefully with each week the sun will shine a little brighter for her . . . and good call on getting that Perricone stuff while the getting was good . . . tee hee!
