Well, it seems you and I share a lot in common! Not only do we love smoked food....we both reside in the highest property tax regions in the entire USA!
Even @ChiliPepper has a slightly lower 'colored dot' over her head than we do!
Chicagoland and almost all of NYS win! Harumpf. Win. Yeah right. Grrrrrrd me up this morning reading that article!
There are other areas strewn across mostly the northeast and New England....but you and I @momtochloe are smack in the highest rate areas.
On a happier note...we LOVE smoked salmon and I just copied some recipes w/ yummy dill sauces! The recipes were written for inside cooking but doesn't matter where you cook the fish...make the sauce and serve!
Smoked salmon sounds 'summery' to me! Got to get some soon!
Oh @RespectLife property taxes are such a dirty word around here . . . egad. This entire state is a complete mess and to be honest I am very worried for the future as I don't think anyone in office has a clue what to do about it but at least now that they have stopped paying government officials maybe that will get their attention . . . tee hee!
I wish I liked seafood as it is my understanding that smoked salmon is the bomb but like I told my doctor one time I would rather starve to death then eat salmon. I just can't do it.
Well I just got through cleaning out the washtub in the laundry room including running baking soda/vinegar/boiling water through the pipes and using a zip tie looking thing to fish out . . . debris . . . I am happy with the sound of rushing water again.
I wonder where @ChiliPepper is today . . . hope you are ok my friend!

Oh @ChiliPepper, I'm glad you're ok! My internet service is bouncing up and down this morning like a yo-yo I am missing posts sometimes . . . ![]()
I am sorry to hear about your feet. I can remember the first time I cut the lawn my ankles and feet would be killing me the next day. The way they built these houses the yards are sloped so water runs down which is great but can make for tough terrain when you're pushing around a mower!

Well, as far as the neighbors go, I decided to take the high road.
I will continue to try to make my yard nicer & nicer & set the bar higher & maybe they will follow suit.
If I act like a better person, so will they maybe (hopefully).
We'll see how that works.

@momtochloe @mustang66lady @Writer with Flair
Hey! Did you see I have now joined the ranks of picture posters here? I have conquered this task! Mostly......
Was an excellent teacher! We discovered part of the problem is that I have the first version of Word EVER invented (okay maybe not the first..but 2007)...and my computer system Windows XP is also older than me! LOL
It wouldn't let me do a lot of current things...but in a limited capacity...I can post a pic!!

Writer,
Hello my Southern friend! How is the weather for you and Mr. Writer? If I remember correctly, it was pleasant you were able to shop some today. Was hoping to do some of that as well but was not in the cards for me today! I believe you asked a bit ago how my hand is doing-bless your heart! It is much better but there is still a huge area of scar tissue I am working on. The hand is no longer painful but I do so want to shrink this scar as much as possible. PT said I had about a year to do this but truly hope it doesn't take that long! My other thumb continues to trigger but am wrapping it curing the day to keep it straight during the day and found a brace to wear at night that has a piece of metal that keeps it straight while I sleep. I am praying the joint slips back in and the knot goes away. I do not want to have any more surgery on my hands at this point. I think I am going to have to cave and have my right knee replaced as it is getting continually more difficult tothe time. I was beaten about 20 years ago and pushed down stairs backward. I hyper-extended my leg and knee and tore the posterior cruciate. I was told then that it needed to be replaced but I was "too young" for replacement. I'm not too young any more! LOL!
Chili,
If Uncle Mustang needs to help coach, he is more than willing! Our daughters hated having him come as he ended up coaching whatever sport they played! LOL! He went to college on a lacrosse scholarship so he can expertly embarrass your daughter for sure!
Mustang, I am so very sorry my friend, I had no idea that you had been through all that in the past. I have some experience, I wish the Kitchenettes could talk in private sometime. Hugs my friend.
Thanks for the offer of "Uncle Mustang"!!! Nothing like a private Coach, wouldn't that be impressive??!!!
Well, I was out there this weekend playing catch & practicing with her. I think she was impressed that I could throw & catch as well as I could. Now mind you, this body doesn't run much & certainly not very fast but I did ok all things considered. I'm 10 - 20 years older than most of these parents but don't tell anyone ok??? LOL!!!

Thanks my friend! It's a little better since I lost a few pounds too. I few more would help even more. Some days it is weather related but I can deal with that, I just s u c k it up & deal with it. It's the slightly uneven terrain of my lawn that is the culprit.
