@mustang66lady my friend you have so much going on with both two and four legged folks!  That is quite a menagerie you have going on there right now (although I would steal Harley in a heartbeat!) I so hope you get some rest this evening as it sounds like you have more than earned that for heaven's sake!

This staying up past 7pm is interesting as apparently my new neighbor is trying to set his house on fire with his fire pit . . . the flames have to be over six feet high . . . yikes!

But they do have delightful twinkly lights around the awning over their porch  . . . Smiley Happy

I wish you all a lovely and peaceful evening . . . Heart

Good morning everyone

@momtochloe Naps are wasted on the young ;o)

I did make it to the gym yesterday.  I gave this instructor two tries but she is not for me.  I am going to try the 8:15 class on Saturdays and see if that's better.  It's a little more intense, but I'd rather have that and do what I feel like doing vs falling asleep on the bike.

Today is Casino day.  I'm more looking forward to my burger and sweet potato fries at Bobby's Burger Palace.  I get the Bobby Blue (blue cheese and bacon).

I made Ina's French Mussel Bisque last night.  It's really good (it makes a ton, as all of her soups do, so I will cut it in half next time).  The most time consuming part is picking all the mussel meat out.  I had 4 lbs of mussels because they came in 2 lb bags, so I had more than was needed.

Good morning Kitchenettes!!!! Happy, happy Super Sunday my Sassy Sistas'!!!!!

So mtc & I are pretty much on the same plate: errands (yesterday), laundry, dishes & mowing the lawn. I figured I should wait a bit to mow so as not to wake the neighbors but at 10 am, I think my excuse ran out LOL!!!

I HAVE to have it done or I don't get to take a break & watch "The Kitchen"!!!!!! My goal......

Off I go, if the mower starts!!!!

Good morning my Kitchenette friends!

The weather here is spectacular.  I had forgotten how lovely warm weather can be.

Today is going to be a quiet day for me.  I was mulling over mowing the lawn but my right knee is now down with that plan today so hopefully it will be more cooperative tomorrow.

In the meantime I am making some pasta casserole in my WP rice cooker.  It smells delicious and I hope that is the case . . . Smiley Happy

Hope you all are having a wonderful Sunday!  Heart

@mtc

Ok, mission accomplished!!! Yee ha!!!!! Geeez, good thing I don't have a huge yard LOL!

I got a bunch of leaves along the back of the lot raked up & picked up too. I'm glad I got some of it done a few weeks ago when we had a couple of days of nice weather. OMG, it looks so much better. I have a TON to do but at least I see progress, progress makes me happy!

So, hopefully there is something worthwhile on "The Kitchen" after all that LOL!!!!

You the man @ChiliPepper!  I have to say, I am stunned that I don't hear any mowers going but to be honest the only folks that have manicured yards are those that pay for that service.  Last year my yard grew in those horrible patches which begged to be mowed but I would love to get to the front yard if I can tomorrow (knee willing).

I just saw a commercial that made me laugh out loud . . . I think it was from Kohl's(?) and they showed a couple making green smoothies and then chomping on doughnuts and saying they feel better already . . . my kind of people!

Tee hee!

@mtc

I love it! A smoothie & a donut! That used to be me when I used to drink pop. It was always a diet Pepsi in one hand & a not-so-diet whatever in the other hand!

Well, I'm glad you were able to get a nap yesterday. You needed it. It sounds like you had an emotionally exhausting week. Stress & nerves are often worse than physical work - way worse!!!!

Well, you made it through week # 1 like a champ, now you need to decide if this job has the potential to be for you.

So, litter box is changed, laundry in, dishes done.......

I need to sit for a second (feeling a little dizzy) & then grab a shower. I want to start back on my kitchen next.

Oh @ChiliPepper my friend if you are dizzy I beg of you please take a moment or more and sit down.  The grass and yard work can wait but your health is of the utmost importance both for you and your daughter.

I speak from experience on this so please, please take a breather and don't push your health ok?  Heart

Ok my very good friend @ChiliPepper I will always trust your better and clearly more accurate judgement but after wading through that particular stream I just want to be sure you are ok and healthy as things have kind of snuck up on me in the long run after ignoring a few warning signals.

I am not sure what is going to amusing me this evening as my neighbors had set half the neighborhood on fire last night with their firepit (how on earth do flames go up six feet for heaven's sake, yikes!) so tonight should be rather uneventful.

I hope you all have a lovely and restful evening my friends!
