Hey Witchenettes, just curious, do you read other BB or mainly here (as in QVC BB)?

Do you post on other boards much?

I read other sites (recipes mostly) but I don't post on other boards.

Just curious...

Nope!  I rely on all of my Kitchenettes to bring me here the best recipes world wide!

I don't do social media or post on other boards.

I don't even go to other sites...such as Food Network, all recipes etc...unless someone sends me there!

Good morning everyone.

@VaBelle35  Your chili recipes sounds good.  Good luck in the cook-off.  I love chili.  Wish I could be there to judge for you.

Left overs for breakfast this morning....:-)    Even though I didn't win...I really like this strata and I'm so glad that I got to make it or I would never have discovered this recipe.  I did modify slighly...I doubled the mozzarella cheese and added a 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg.  Let the mixture sit in my fridge overnight to really soak up the liquid...then baked in the morning.

Have a nice day everyone....Typical office day for me....I'll peek in throughout the day.

@straykatz  I'm so glad you noted your modifications!  This is Saturday's dinner!!

Thanks!

Oh Phooey!  Major Bummer!

My Via's just arrived!  The zipper won't work on the left shoe...and they are the most uncomfortable shoes ever to spend 30 seconds on my feet!  It is like there is NO right or left shoe really!  The toe beds don't go in one direction or the other...cramming your toes.  They are so stiff I couldn't even walk 2 feet in them....let alone get past the defective zipper!

Jessica Simpson BOURBON boots?  Sent me the wrong size!  Ordered 6.5, invoice says 6.5, box clearly says 8.

Fergie thigh high boots?  Now on these the RIGHT zipper is missing teeth.

Sigh.

I tried!  Now I know Jane REPEATEDLY said don't return, but I'm sorry.  I can't gift/donate defective shoes/boots...and I don't know anyone who wears an 8.  Please forgive, but these are all going back for full credit.

I did really try!  It was exciting ...until they got here.  sniff

Re: Quick Pot Sticker Soup

[ Edited ]

Ok, so I see my original post is blank & of course it was long LOL!!!

Anyways, Happy Wednesday Morning my Wickedly Wonderful Witchenettes!!!

I made peanut butter fudge last night. I looks horrible (looks like vomit to be honest LOL!!!). It tastes really good though, DD loved it. I am not a huge fan of fudge but I think I'll try pumpkin fudge next. I'll leave some for her & bring some to work.

I think fudge freezes well doesn't it???

So, whats happening in your next of the haunted woods???

@ChiliPepper

I know, right?  See, that is why I never buy a lottery ticket or gamble!  I have the worse luck!

One pair left to come...the Michel Kors Black sandals/shoes.  Hope I have better luck with those!

HEY!

Did you guys see that Stacy from Q stole my idea of Chili with stew beef?  She posted a recipe today Three C Chilli that used meat, not ground beef and no beans...just like the Texans!

She must have been reading our thread!  LOL  She has so many peppers in hers, DH would have cardiac arrest!  No Pepcid could help him w/ that amount of hot peppers!  She called it a mild version!  LOL  I'd kill him for sure!

HEY!

Even though my shoes were a bust, I did score David's Slow Cooker Brownie Bread Pudding recipe....and Chili's recipe...but I won't use pumpkins!  YUMMY!

Good morning Witchen, Kitchenettes!

It is cloudy and cool here this morning; we got our "Patricia" rain yesterday and I think we are done with it but not banking on it yet.  I have been to Aldi's this morning and need to get started on something else.

straykatz,

Clearly the judges went a different direction at your contest, going for the "safe choice" chili instead of your off the hook strata!  We are all proud of you and happy you shared your recipe with us!

Respect,

All three pairs of shoes defective?!  Yes, I heard Jane that evening as well but I'm with you, all would go back.  Money is too scarce to come by to spend what you did and receive what you did.  Besides that, what good would those donated shoes be to anyone if they can't be worn because of defects?   I didn't buy any this year and was a little miffed that only 80% went to cancer research and not 100% as in past years.  You would be better off donating that money directly, taking the tax break and then even donating that if you chose!

Vabelle,

The only boards I comment on is QVC's on a regular basis.  I have commented on some blogs on occasion but that is it.  I thought about doing the TOH boards and decided I didn't want to invest the time.

Hope you are getting or have gotten those patches off as I type this.  I don't know how you slept with all that on!  The brace I wear on my left hand for the carpal tunnel drives me nuts some nights - I can't imagine my back being tapped up!

Looking forward to your chili recipe!  YUM!

Chili,

That devilish dip sounds good to me!  If we were having a party, I would be serving that and that recipe for the severed fingers for sure!  I'm not too creative on my own for things but enjoy remaking other's creations!  The most creative thing I have done for Halloween was freeze plastic spiders in ice cubes and served drinks that way, and float plastic eye balls in punch.  What was so ugly about your fudge?  Glad it tasted good and if it is ugly at least it makes for a ghoulish Halloween treat!

mtc,

You didn' get washed away in the Patricia rain did you?  I could go to the Mississippi River and watch for you as you float down river!   I'll be the one with the flotation device, ready to pull you ashore!

Have any of you ever made your own vanilla?  I have several recipes and they use different alcohols to acheive the goal.  I was wondering if you have made this, what alcohol you used and were you satisfied with the taste.  I saw some really cute bottles with stoppers at Target last week and can't get them out of my mind.  Keep thinking I should make some vanilla and give out as a gift.  With today's special value on the lock n lock, placing a bottle of homemade vanilla in the bag with some goodies would make a nice gift.

Hi yes sorry I am here Chili . . . was under the weather this morning but feeling better now . . . thanks for asking!  Smiley Happy

Mustang, we really didn't get that much rain here at all, I don't think it came far enough north but thank you for thinking to fish me out of the Mighty Mississippi if need be!

Respect, major bummer on those boots.  I would send them back too.  It's one thing if you just didn't like them but complete something different if they are sending out defective product.  Boo.

Straykatz, I can almost smell your delicious breakfast from here . . . Smiley Happy

VaBelle, I am so glad you'll be getting that tape off today . . . good heavens!
