@momtochloe

This is more than adorable!   Wonder if anyone else will play with the whale once these guys sail off?   I sure hope so!

Happy Friday Kitchenettes!

The sun can't decide whether or not to stay out today.  It sure is cold.  The puppies were not happy to get out into the cold car to venture to the spa today.  But it was a full house when we got there and Buster could not contain his excitement!   He is there to play!

Thanks @momtochloe  for your thoughts about those who have families with health challenges.  I think that's all of us.  Special prayers of safety and protection as Mr. Respect goes thru his surgery this morning.    @tiny 2 -How is Mr. Tiny doing today?   Hope this weather isn't bothering him or making his breathing worse.  Has anyone seen @Honeybit  posting on any other threads?   Hope all is good there.  And haven't seen our @VaBelle35 since last week-I know she has been really busy at work but hope everything else is going well for her.

Hello friends

Thanks for the update on @RespectLife 's DH.

@tiny 2  I've been keeping good thoughts for you all week as well.

I was in Arizona this last week and came back to 30s.  I connected through Houston yesterday and the temperature suddenly dropped when we passed Georgia.

I put the heat on this morning as I didn't turn it on last night since the house was a pleasant (for me) 60 when I got home.  This morning it was 55, so I turned it on the take the chill out.  I had the motor in my head system replaced a couple of weeks ago.  I switched to a new HVAC company since the warranty on the AC ended and he said that the motor in my system was really loud (true statement) and he said that usually means it's ready to go, so he suggested that since it was under warranty, I could do it and just pay the labor.

It's been 7 years since I replaced the heating system and I am pretty sure it was loud and noisy from day one, but it may be one of those things where it gets louder over time and you don't realize it from year to year.

When I turned it on this morning, it was so quiet.  I can't believe I was living with that thing for so long.

Regarding the Popeys chicken sandwich

I was driving home from work last week and traffic was backed up on the main road in my town.   It was the DamnFoolPeople waiting in line for the drive thru for that stupid sandwich.

Regarding Thanksgiving

I ordered my baby 8lb turkey from the organic grocery store again this year.

Hello K-Team!

We are having a slight warm up today-I guess to soften the blow coming early this week.

@VaBelle35

So jealous you got to spend time in AZ!  Hope you had a great trip there.   I bet your new heating system is a lot more quiet-did it make it difficult to sleep?   We use a portable a.c. in our bedroom in summer and it is loud.   When we turn it off in the fall, both of us have a hard time sleeping for a week or so, until we can get used to the quiet again.

@RespectLife  sent another note this morning and they are home.  DH's nerve block is wearing off and he is starting to feel pain.  Please keep them lifted up in prayers.

Dear Kitchenettes,

     I have been praying and hoping that the rest of the weekend is good for you all.  It is such a blessing and a privilege to be of part of your lives and to be able to share in the good and the challenging.  This is such a special forum.  Thanks again, dear Mustang, for bringing us all together.
