Here is my main dish favorite salad for summer:

Succotash Salad with Buttermilk-Avocado Dressing

The dessing is killer.  You don't even need to make the salad.  The dressing is fabulous on chicken.

This looks like such a delicious meal @VaBelle35 but I'm not sure I have seen lima beans around here . . . maybe a quick swap out of black beans, yes?

I buy Birdseye frozen lima beans for this.  I don't think I've ever seen a fresh lima bean.  You can also just leave the lima beans out.  I wouldn't use black beans in this.  You can find succotash frozen and in a can if you want to save those steps.  I have done that, too, when corn isn't in season.

OMG, I have never seen a "fresh" lima bean either now that I think of it!

Frozen lima beans are WAY better that canned IMO (for what it's worth LOL!!!).

Our @mustang66lady noticed the absence on the boards of Adore and she paged her on another thread.

Adore responded and  is indeed going through a stormy time.  Please keep her in your prayers!

Thank you @mustang66lady for being so intuitive and searching her out.  It will be a blessing to pray for her.

Good morning Kitchenettes!!!!! Happy Fabulous Friday my Foxy Friends!!!!!

Hey, did you notice the purple  "thumbs up" when you give a heart? It's new to me as of today. It used to just turn the red heart into a grey heart.

So what is with the 'thumbs up' now instead of hearts?

Okay, here is a question for you computer tech ladies...

sometimes when I post I get a message that says my body contains an invalid HTML.  It supposedly corrected/removed it and I have to hit post again.

Now I thought I was immunanzied in grade school but apparently my body gets this!  LOL

What the heck is an Invalid HTML?

Re: No Hearts and Problem Paging with @ sign birdmama wrote: Good Morning, I see that when I try to heart someone I get a blue thumbs up. Is this permanent? Also, I cannot page someone. I tried on a couple of threads and when I key in the @ sign, I don't get the little drop down list of the most recent posters to that thread. Usually when I key in @ I am able to select a name. Is this permanent too?

Thank you for bringing this to our attention @birdmama. The blue thumbs up is not something we changed so we will check into it. Your nickname did pop up when I used the @mention sign so you should get a notification of my reply.

We eat a lot of lima beans and often make a lima & corn combination, plus a lima-cheese-bacon casserole.  And not only have I never seen a fresh lima bean, but sometimes the grocery stores don't have the frozen ones either. Sometimes when they do, the price is far higher than that of any other item in the frozen vegetable aisle.

Frozen baby lima beans are usually easier to find and cost less, but I don't like them quite as much as I like Fordhook limas.

Never have tried canned limas, but my husband does like certain brands of  canned seasoned black-eyed peas, and I'm glad because cooking those from the freezer case on the stove takes more time than I usually like to devote to a single vegetable.

Woah!  Thanks so much for this explanation.  I didn't know there were different kinds of lima beans.  I thought they were all the same.
