I haven't been online for about a month and wanted to stop by QPSS and say Hi to All.  Send a few kind furry thoughts out toward TMFY -- we have been running back and forth to the Vet for a few weeks now.  Much too hot here for these long "road trips."  She says he has crystals in his bladder. He was on antibiotics (which seemed to mainly make him throw up) for several weeks.  The vet veers between "hereditary" and "food" each time she sees him.  We just started a "UD prescription diet" (Who Knew???) -- had to order it through chewy dot com but the vet has to send them a prescription for it.  He just had his first taste of the canned version this morning -- it looks and smells awful to me -- kind of a white color -- but surprisingly he ate it (adding it gradually into his usual food).  Maybe he was just thankful there wasn't a pill buried inside it!

May all of you get to enjoy your favorite flavor of summer weather before summer ends.  So far ours has been way too hot and way too stormy -- definitely not MY favorite!

@Honeybit

I'm so sorry to read you and TMFY have been going thru this.  I was thinking something might be going on as we have not heard from you (or @Writer with Flair) for awhile now.  Just read this article this morning and made me mad-why can't these pet food manufactuers do better?  Have fed mine Rachel Ray's, currently on Beneful and have thought about going to Blue Buffalo.  Now I'm thinking I might just put them back on Pedigree.   Will keep you and Yazzy in thoughts and prayers.  Heart

I can take a LOT of heat, but that humidity is a deal breaker for me the older I get.   I got to give them a salute-I am NOT one of those silver hairs going to FL.  I would melt.  Now 120 in Phoenix is just very warm to me.  And that doesn't last all that long and unlike winter here, I never had to scrape something off my windshield or shovel the driveway.  If I am going to be uncomfortable/miserable for a few weeks a year, I choose Phoenix as the place for that to happen!

I''m with ya @mustang66lady

I'd rather melt in AZ than freeze in NY!

I just returned from seeing Brother Mustang but caught the noon weather while I was still there.  There's a nasty storm coming out of Iowa and I guess you are getting some of it.  It is heading our way-you can see storm header clouds in the north from here.   Stay safe!

Oh, what did you get from Panera???

Yum!!!

Oh goodness @ChiliPepper  I haven't been there in years and it was such a treat!  The coupon was for $5 off pick two so I chose the cuban sandwich and the asian salad (love that dressing and those fried won tons) that was stuffed with chicken.  So good and always so well done.

Tomorrow I am going to use my other half of the coupon to get a free breakfast wrap with purchase (large soda for me please) and I'll provide a review tomorrow.

I used to go there every week to get a loaf of their wheat bread for my mom and a soda and bagel or their breakfast quiches for me so I wasn't surprised when she told me I don't have any rewards coming . . . sniff, I know . . . Smiley Sad

Oh thank you @mustang66lady  but I am sorry you got caught in the middle of the storm.  Something is due in here sometime tonight I believe and since I just turned on Judge Judy I should be getting Weather Alerts every 15 minutes as CBS is very diligent about those things . . . Smiley Happy

You stay safe too my friend!

Good Morning @momtochloe  and kitchenettes. We are staying in avoiding the heat and enjoying the early mornings. I made a lovely steak Thursday night and DH practically inhaled it. He has lost his appetite for so much with illness. There was a big sale on whole beef tenderloins so off I went yesterday to grab a couple so today I am butchering those babies and vacuum sealing.  He will have steak whenever he wants. I am also making a lovely cold cucumber soup(one of Ina Garten's recipes).

mtc, We love the cuban sandwich @Panera.

Oh @tiny 2  I am so glad to see you today, I was just logging in to post a note asking how you both are doing!  Heart

Oh that sandwich was delicious yesterday as was the salad.  I hadn't been to Panera in years so I was thrilled to see it on the menu.  Their pork is delicious.  I even manned up and ate the cilantro that was in the salad.  Yep, nope.  Still not a fan of that stuff.

How lovely to hear your DH so enjoyed his steak dinner and bonus to have those tenderloins on sale, score!  That's what I do with huge pork tenderloins, divide them up and freeze the smaller portions.  It's nice to know you have something like that in the freezer and even better that you know you got it at a great price!

Enjoy the rest of your day and weekend my friend and again so glad to see you!  Smiley Happy
